Darts News – A West Midlands Round Up
The Sutton and District League had cup finals on their fixture card, first the Brian Goodman Cup in which currently placed fifth in division one, Erdington Arrows, lost 7-2 to already acclaimed division one champions Highcroft Hotdogs. There were no fewer than four maximums in the game, one going to Erdingtion Arrows player W.Naylor and the other three going to Highcroft Hotdogs players S.Shorthouse, L.Szoros and J.Liggins.
The Ken Rust final brought together Oscott Social Club (division two) and Bishop Vesey (Division One). With seventeen teams separating the two finalists it was hardly surprising that the 7-2 result went in favour of Bishop Vesey who had the only maximum of the final, which was chalked up by M.Partridge.
