The Sheldon and District Winter League have been engaged with the finals of both their singles and doubles knockouts, in the former, making their exit in the quarter-finals were Tom Cupkovic, Danny Chiswell, Preston Cupkovic and Richard Mills. The last four games saw Jordan Grainger notch a maximum in his 2-1 win over Chris Darby, Bobby Nixon making his way into the final with a similar 2-1 win over Adam Sanders. The final went the full three legs distance with Bobby Nixon finishing as the 2-1 champion and Jordan Grainger runner-up
Losing out in the last eight of the doubles competition, were Ray Evans and Rick Richard, Alan Mayell and Dan McDermott, Terry Webster and Tom White plus Richard Mills and Simon Power. In the first of the semi-finals Chris Darby and Shay Darby won 2-0 against Sam Robinson and Kevin Smith while Jordan Grainger and Dean Grainger were taken to a deciding leg before winning 2-1 against Luke Jackson and Ryan Monaghan. Jordan Grainger and Dean Grainger lifted the winners silverware after handing out a straight 2-0 defeat to Chris Darby and Shay Darby who took the runners-up spot.

Matthew Cain continues to lead the field in the Heartlands Sugardarts M&E Co Double Top League, in his latest fixtures he chalked up 3-0 wins over both Emma Cain and Sophie Cain to take his points tally up to eighty-two from thirty-two games. Second placed Martin Cooper began the night well with a straight 3-0 win over Ellis Gundy but then lost ground in the title race as he went down 2-1 to Steve Cain followed by a similar 2-1 defeat to L.J.Austin to leave him trailing Matthew Cain by three points from the same number of games played. Prior to his win over Martin Cooper, Steve Cain beat Andrew Richmond 3-0, however after playing Cooper he then lost 3-0 to George Drennan to see him hold on to third place with seventy-five points from thirty-two games, seven short of leader Matthew Cain. It was a good night for fourth placed John Burdett as he handed out 3-0 defeats to Gemma Whatley, John Frost and Brian Meer to leave him on the same seventy-five points as Steve Cain but from thirty-five games, three games more than Steve Cain.
Alex Downes was the only player on the night to find the three treble twenties which he achieved in his 3-0 win over Stephen Smith.

The Sutton and District League had the semi-finals of their Keaton Lacey Memorial Cup on their fixture card, in the division one games, league leaders Highcroft Hotdogs handed out a 9-0 whitewash to their opponents Charley’s Flights, the second of the semi’s bringing together division one’s third and fourth placed teams Bishop Vesey and Nomads @ Hollyfields. The result was a 6-3 win for Bishop Vesey whose M.Wild chalked up a maximum as did H.Riddell for the Nomads.
The division two games saw leaders Rise Club take on their nearest rivals in the division, second placed Plough and Arrows, the outcome was a 6-3 win for Rise Club. The second of the semis was a close affair with Beggars Bush running out the 5-4 winners against St Thomas Arrows.

There was no result this week for the leaders of the Netherton Thursday Night 501 League, Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’, which gave second placed Rose and Crown (Wordsley) the opportunity to draw level on points with the leaders, and that’s exactly what they did as they handed their hosts, Townsend Social Club a 7-2 defeat to put them level on thirty-nine points with Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ but from fourteen games played, one more than the Ex Serviceman’s. Third placed Old Liberal Club returned from fifth in the league Plough and Harrow on the right side of the 7-2 result to take their points to thirty-three from thirteen games. Fourth placed Bulls Head are on the same thirty-three points as Old Liberal Club, but they have played one game more than them after adding on their latest 6-3 win away to Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘B’.
There were seven maximums recorded this week and they were supplied by G.Peters (Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘B’), Brian Neale and B.Ratcliffe (Bulls Head), Mitch Jeffrey (Gate Hangs Well), Chris Moreton (Rose and Crown, Wordsley) plus Gavin Smith, who hit two, and Nick Fullwell (Old Liberal Club).

With two more fixtures to play in the Sedgley and Gornal Tuesday Night League, Quarry Bank Liberal Club have confirmed themselves as champions in the best possible way, handing out a 9-0 whitewash to their visitors Parkes Hall. The Liberal Club have a total of seventy points and a lead of six over their nearest rivals Red Cow ‘1’, after they won 7-2 at Meadow Lark. There is a further gap of four points to third placed Gornal British Legion, who suffered a 7-2 defeat playing away against Netherton Sports and Social Club, who are fourth in the league, their fifty-four points, six fewer than their opponents.

Just two results this week from the Black Country Men’s Super League, leaders Allen’s Bar ‘A’ adding a 5-0 win at home over bottom of the table Soccer Zone ‘B’ to their account to take their points tally to 129 from thirty-six games, giving them a lead of seven points over second placed Quarry Bank Liberal Club. In the other game played Allen’s Bar ‘B’ won their home tie with High Acres 4-1 to see the two teams swap places in the league table, Allen’s Bar ‘B’ moving up one place to seventh and High Acres dropping one place to eighth, Allen’s Bar ‘B’ now having a slender one point advantage over High Acres.

Evonne Taylor didn’t play this week in the West Midlands Ladies Super League, and as a result she has lost pole position and dropped to second place behind new leaders Jacqueline Maiden whose 3-1 win over Sarah Barrett has taken her number of points to 124 from thirty-five games, one game played more than Taylotr who is two points behind her. Gemma Barrett is in third place, her 3-1 win over Sarah Barrett leaving her four points off the top of the table but from one more game played.

Gilbert’s Bar was the setting for a Bank Holiday Knockout, which in the semi-finals Ben Forrest beat John Simms 4-1 to book his final place and also making his way into the final was Simon Pritchard who defeated Michael Smith 4-2. The final was a close affair but saw Ben Forrest run out the 5-3 winner to collect the top prize of £50, Simon Pritchard receiving £30. Losing semi-finalists John Simms and Michael Smith each received £10.
