Game number seven in the Cosmo Darts Premier Division of the UKDA National League saw leaders Yorkshire gain an impressive and vital win to any title hopes they have when they won 20-16 playing away against their nearest rivals Lancashire, taking their points tally to 172 points. The win has seen Yorkshire extend their lead at the top of the table from four to eleven points over their opponents who remain in second place. With a 25-11 win away to Staffordshire, Essex with 156 points have moved up two places in the division and take over in third place from Lincolnshire who with 151 points drop down to sixth place following their 21-15 reversal at Hampshire who are fourth in the table on the same 156 points as Essex. Warwickshire’s 24-12 win away to Kent move up one place in the division to fifth with 154 points.
In the Andy Wheeler Fisheries Championship Division Dorset hold on to pole position with 159 after their 20-16 away win over Devon, however their lead has been reduced from nine to six points after Humberside recorded a huge 27-9 home victory over Gwent. Humberside’s large win as seen them replace Cleveland in the number two spot despite Cleveland winning 21-15 at home against Sussex giving them 151 points two short of Humberside. Hertfordshire were held to an 18-18 home draw by Cambridgeshire causing them to drop one place in the table to fourth on 144 points, seven behind Cleveland and fifteen short of leaders Dorset.
The results from game seven had little effect on the division one table with all of the top six teams holding on to their positions. Derbyshire lead the field with a total of 171 points after adding a 21-15 home win over Leicestershire to their account. Nevertheless the leaders have had their advantage reduced to just three points by second placed Suffolk won 23-13 at County Durham extending their lead over third placed Buckinghamshire to nineteen points, Buckinghamshire having a 22-14 home win over Worcestershire. West Midlands revival continues, their latest 21-15 home win over Surrey keeping them in fourth place with 140 points, nine behind Buckinghamshire but thirteen ahead of fifth in the division Somerset who lost their home tie with Merseyside 21-15.
With just two more fixtures to play in Division Two of the UKDA National League Black Country are beginning to look a certainty for promotion for a second successive year as their latest fixture at home against Wiltshire saw them gain a comfortable 24-12 win to keep them top of the division and extend their lead from eighteen to twenty-two points over their nearest rivals Tyne and Wear. Tyne and Wear played away against bottom placed Gloucestershire and returned with a 20-16 win giving them a fourteen points advantage over third placed Nottinghamshire who have replaced Wiltshire in the number three spot after their 19-17 win at Cumbria, Wiltshire’s defeat seeing them drop two places to fifth. Despite losing 19-17 at Bedfordshire, West of England hold on to their fourth position with the same 137 points as the team just above them Nottinghamshire.
With a 22-14 home win over Middlesex, Northumberland have replaced their opponents in pole position in Division Three of the UKDA National League with a total of 159 points from seven games, Middlesex dropping to third place with 150 points from six games. Salopian made a giant leap going from fifth to second following their massive 31-5 win away to Isle of Wight giving them a total of 151 points, just one more than Middlesex from the same number of games. With games now running out it looks as though the eventual two promoted teams will come from the current top three teams as fourth in the division Breconshire have played seven fixtures and are some eleven points short of third placed Middlesex.

Warwickshire County Darts Organisation seventh of a scheduled eleven fixtures in the Cosmo Darts Premier Division of the UKDA National League was an away game against bottom of the division Kent.
Saturday saw the ladies ‘B’ storm to a fantastic 6-0 victory with a 3-1 win from Angela Jones over Nette Ralph setting them on their way. Following Angela was lady of the match Courtney Hine whose straight 3-0 win against Lisa Dunford earned her the team’s match award for her 18.79 average. Two further 3-1 wins from Hannah Meek and Chloe McKivett against respective opponents Violet Wood and Tina Kennard put the away team in an unassailable position with the clean-sweep achieved when Melanie Jones won 3-0 against Rebecca Garrett and Nina Bolt won the final game against Sue Bird 3-2.
Pete Hughes gave the men’s ‘B’ the ideal start when he won 4-1 against Peter Allen only to see the home side win the following three games. However by the midway point it was level pegging as Mark Carter and Mark Martin added their 4-2 wins in turn over Scott Lackford and Craig Preston.
As in the first half Warwickshire won the opening game, a 4-3 success for Lee Miller over Richard Elms and although Arron Brigden won 4-3 against Karl Reynolds to level the score at 4-4 a man of the match performance from Mark Strong gave the away side the lead once more. Strong’s 4-1 win over Keith Montgomery saw him average 28.58. The game was restored to parity yet again in the tenth when David Saint beat Noah Rose 4-3 but with a 4-3 win for Sam Price over Martin Goodin and a 4-1 win for Nigel Heydon over Adrian Samson the men’s ‘B’ won 7-5.
The ladies ‘A’ won 4-2 going two up when Donna Pinch beat Kelly Westlake 3-0 and Natalie Gilbert with a similar 3-0 result accounted for Su Holt, Natalie taking the match award for a super 21.47 average. Grant kicked off with a fantastic thirteen darts leg and then added sixteen and seventeen darts legs to his account before finishing how he started with another great thirteen darts leg, hitting three maximums and six scores of a ton or more in the process.
At the break it was all-square at 3-3 with further wins from Jamie Atkins, 4-3 against Dean Owen and Jack Wareing who beat Carl Wilson 4-2, replying for Kent were Ricki O’Brien who came from 2-0 down against Wayne Mynard to win 4-3 and in game six Peter Mitchell who with a 4-0 win against Matty Washbrooke and a 30.36 average took his team’s match award.

Last two players on were Tracey Dean (Salopian) and Kelly Stroud, Dean winning 3-0 to realise the 6-0 victory.
Opening up a 6-0 lead in the first half of the men’s ‘A’ game were Terry Nash, Jon Mansell, Matt Elsey, Joe Higgins, Ash Hilditch and Mark Crutchley who chalked up wins in turn against Colin Freeman (4-2), Greg Hailes (4-1), Mark Breakpear (4-0), Gordy Crews (4-1), Darren Winter (4-0) and Mark Edwards (4-2).
