West Midlands newly promoted to division one of the BDO Inter County Championships will kick off their new season on the weekend of 3rd and 4th of September with an away fixture against Hampshire the first time the two teams have met since they played each other on the West Midlands home board at Gilberts Bar, Willenhall in September 2012 when the visitors went home with a 21-15 victory.
This latest fixture will see Hampshire as hosts and West Midlands will be hoping to emulate their hosts and return home with a win to get their season off to the best possible start but it will be no easy task for the away team as Hampshire last season were a premier division side and following their relegation will undoubtedly be looking for a quick return to the top flight.
