Derbyshire after being promoted as runners up from division two of the BDO Inter County Championships last season will kick off their division one programme with a home tie against Glamorgan. This will be a real test for the division’s newcomers as their opponents played last season in the premier division but together with Kent were relegated to division one at the end of the campaign. Nevertheless with only two defeats in their nine games last season confidence will still be riding high for Derbyshire and now with the ultimate prize of a place in the premier division within their grasp who knows what they are capable of and indeed what they will do.
