Vicky Edwards increased her advantage at the top of the Birmingham Ladies Double Top League this week with two 2-1 victories over Chris Brooks and Janet Dudley. Vicky’s lead was extended not only because of her wins but also because her nearest rivals lost. Janet Dudley was her nearest rival prior to this week’s games, so obviously Vicky’s win against her was most important. Next in the table were A.Bourne, who was defeated 2-1 by Jeanette James, C.Brooks, who again fell victim to Vicky, and Joyce Webster, who went down 2-1 to Julie James in a high scoring encounter.
