In division one of the BDO Inter County Championships West Midlands played hosts to Cleveland bouncing back from their opening 20-16 defeat at Hampshire to beat their visitors 24-12 with three of the four teams winning, the men’s ‘B’ the only team not to win and they finished level with a 6-6 draw Robert Smith (29.47) their man of the match.
The men’s ‘A’ side won 7-5 winning the last three games to seal their victory and with a 30.94 average Nick Fullwell took the match award.
The ladies were in tremendous form with the ‘A’ side handing out a 6-0 whitewash to their counterparts and the ‘B’ dropping just one game to win 5-1. Sarah Roberts (23.48) for the second time in as many games took the ‘A’ team’s award and for the ‘B’ it was Jacqueline Maiden with a 17.80 average.
