Derbyshire v County Durham

With only two remaining fixtures in division one of the BDO Inter County Championships remaining Derbyshire’s days in the division now appear to be numbered as they have lost all seven of the games played so far, and after just one season in the division looked doomed to return to division two. With safety some fourteen points away they will complete their home programme this coming weekend with a tie against middle of the table County Durham in which another defeat would certainly commit them to play in the second division next season, the final game away to Surrey who are just above them on 118 points would then be irrelevant with only pride to play for.

So the hope is that all of those vital missed doubles this season will be put behind them and all will come good in the last two games to lift them out of the relegation zone.
