Tony Randell is certainly setting the pace in the Crown at Olton Double Top League having played fourteen and won them all, in the latest round of fixtures he chalked up three straight 3-0 wins over Ian Spencer, Alex Edwards and Wayne Mathews to give him a total points of 38 having dropped just four legs so far. Bob Nixon is hot on the heels of Randell having won thirteen of his fourteen games and trails by just one point following his 3-0 wins over Wayne Mathews and Darren Wright and a 2-1 success against Mark Wall.
Former leader John Buckingham suffered a setback to his title aspirations when he lost 2-1 to John Sidwell but nevertheless he quickly bounced back with two 3-0 win s over Phil Henderson and Darren Wright to leave him four points off the top on 34 points with a game in hand.

A reminder to all players that the prestigious Coventry Open will be staged at the Bishopsgate Club, Foleshill Road, Coventry, CV1 4LF on Saturday 25th July and for a £10 entry fee there is a guaranteed £500 for the winner with payouts down to the last sixteen if there are 80 plus entries. The Sheldon and District Summer League is three games into its new season and Mackadown Social in division two have already opened up a three points lead after winning their first three games, the latest being a 6-2 home win over The Pirates who after two games are still seeking their first points of the season.
Division four leaders Iron Horse with two wins and a draw also have a three points lead but their nearest rivals Sheldon Social have only played two games and a win in that game would close the gap to just one point.

After the opening two fixtures in the new season of the Kings Norton League just three legs of average separate the top five teams, Court Oak, Toby Jug ‘A’, Hillyfields, Bull and Stirchley United have all won their two games and head the table in that order Court Oak having the best average.
Despite a 4-3 win over West Heath Stirchley United actually dropped two places to fifth, Bull and Hillyfields both winning 7-0 against respective opponents Toby Jug Flights and Kings Heath.

The Bully Boys leaders of the Winmau Centre Monday Night League were surprisingly held to a 24-24 draw this week by What’s The Point who are four places and 71 points below them, nevertheless because The Untouchables didn’t play again this week Bully Boys extended their advantage over the second placed team to 35 points.
James Owen and Gemma Jenkins were in top scoring form both of them hitting two maximums for their team Three Men And A Lady, unfortunately it was not enough for them to avoid a narrow 26-22 defeat against third in the table Misfits.
Biggest winners of the week were Cupid Stunts who with a 45-3 scoreline accounted for Make Mine A Double the win giving them fourth place with 658 points just one more than What’s The Point who are fifth.

The South Birmingham League had their doubles knockout on the agenda and claiming the crown with a final 2-0 win over Richard Liggins and Carl Winters were Martin Heaven and Neil Parsonage.
In the last four play off the champions got to the final with a close 2-1 verdict over Chris Millward snr and Chris Millward jnr while Liggins and Winters had a more clear cut 2-0 success against Nigel Groves and Dave Downes

There was a shock for Black Horse who are third in the Haleswoen Monday Night Ladies League when they lost 4-3 at home to bottom of the table Hare and Hounds, this being Hare and Hounds second win in eleven games but still leaves them at the foot of the table but now only on average as they are level on four points with The Widders who lost 4-3 at Haden Cross.
It was a double shock for Black Horse as they lead the Captains Cup and again lost to Hare and Hounds in what was only their second defeat in eleven games.

Church Tavern were the only losers in the top six teams in the Stourbridge and District Monday Night League as they lost 7-2 at home to Quarry Bank Conservative Club who are three places and eight points below them.
Leaders Ashwood handed out a 9-0 whitewash to next to bottom of the table Crestwood Beauties to keep them two points ahead of Ten Arches who were 7-2 winners against Bird ‘B’ (Stourbridge).
Third placed Britannia Inn had a bye this week Brickmakers Arms moved to within four points of them with a 5-4 win away to Stourbridge RBL.

The top of the table clash in the Hilltop Friendly Tuesday Night League between leaders Dewdrop and second placed Old Hop Pole produced some great darts from both teams, the close 4-3 result went in favour of Dewdrop to give them a massive eight points advantage over their opponents and even wins in their three games in hand wouldn’t see Old Hop Pole catch up with the Dewdrop.

Following their somewhat surprising 4-3 defeat at Highwood ‘C’ Riley’s Red Arrows were quick to bounce back in division one of the Forest of Arden Summer League when they won their home tie with Highwood KB 5-2 to maintain their two points lead over second placed Journeys End who won by the same 5-2 margin over Iron Horse.
In the second division it’s now neck and neck with Chelmsley Town and Sheldon Marlborough Flights as after the latest round of results both teams have the same ten points and are level on average. Chelmsley lost their two points lead when they went down 4-3 away to third placed Crown Arrows who are also on ten points but trail behind the leading duo on average, Sheldon Marlborough Flights were 4-3 winners away to Greville Arms.

On the weekend of the 25th and 26th July the Winmau Darts Centre, Wolverhampton Sports Centre, Racecourse Road, Wolverhampton, WV6 0QU will be hosting the BDO Youth Festival of Darts 2015. Over the weekend there will be an Under 18 Challenge Tour 1 & 2 (Mixed), 18-25 Men Young Players Challenge, 18-25 Ladies Young Players Challenge and a British Teenage Mixed Singles event.

There were wins for the top three teams in the Brierley Hill Monday Night League but fourth in the table High Acres suffered a shock 6-3 home defeat at the hands of the Dog and Lamppost ‘B’ who are just three places off the foot of the table and have only won five of their 22 games so far.
Dudley Sports ‘C’ stay two points clear of Bridge ‘B’ in second place after their 7-2 win over local rivals Dudley Sports ‘B’, while Bridge ‘B’ won 5-4 at Portway. Third placed Rose and Crown (Brierley Hill) were also 5-4 winners in their fixture at Griffin.

Kevin Harris added another three wins to his tally in the Winmau Centre Thursday Night Champions League at the Wolverhampton Sports Arena beating Robert Pierce 5-2, Rob Harris 4-3 and Adam Hill 6-1 to give him a total of 135 points from 24 games. Second placed Mick O’Neill has played two games fewer than Harris and has amassed 118 points, his latest fixtures seeing him win 4-3 against Rob Harris and then recording a convincing 7-0 win over Joshua Parkes. From the same number of games as O’Neill Kenny West has 111 points, in his two games he won 6-1 against Matt Barnfather and then had a 5-2 win in his game with Dean Marshall.

Four teams at the top of the Cradley Tuesday Night 501 League are all on 36 points, the top two Crown ‘A’ and White Horse have both played 21 games as opposed to the other two teams Brickmakers Arms and Crown ‘B’ who have both played 22.
Crown ‘A’ and White Horse in turn had 8-1 wins over The Vine and Roost ‘B’, Brickmakers won their home tie with Hawne Lane Tavern 6-3 and Crown ‘B’ had a narrow 5-4 win at Chop House.

Miners (Wollescote) consolidated their number one position in the Brierley Hill Friday Night League with a 5-4 home win over third in the table Brickmakers Arms, but it was not good news for Dudley Sports ‘B’ who dropped from second to fourth in the table after losing their home game with Pensnett Welfare Club 7-2, the Welfare Club moving up the table two places and replacing their hosts in the number two spot.
Miners with 34 points are four ahead of Pensnett Welfare Club who in turn are two points to the good on Brickmakers Arms, Dudley Sports ‘B’ and Netherton Cricket Club.

James Clarke recorded a vital 2-1 win over Paul Morris his nearest rival in the Safe Harbour Double Top League to give him a four points lead plus a further advantage of a game in hand. Morris had previously beaten Terry Denneny 2-1. Tony Carroll holds third place with 12 points two short of Morris but with three games in hand, his latest games saw him win 3-0 against Jack Mahon, Jim Verschoyle and Jim Wickett.

One game played in division one of the Pip Club League which saw second in the table Prince of Wales beat third placed Birchmoor Club 5-3 to give a gap of three points between the two teams and put Prince of Wales level on 26 points with leaders Bulls Head ‘A’ (Polesworth) but having played one more game than the top side.
A 10-6 win at Globe ‘B’ together with defeats for second placed Sports Bar ‘180’ and third placed Pip Club has strengthened J W Belgrave’s hold in pole position in division two. Sports Bar ‘180’ lost 12-4 at home to fourth placed Globe ’A’ and Pip Club went down 9-7 away to sixth in the table Gate (Amington).

The top two teams in the Rowley Monday Night League Crown and Springfield Social Club took their unbeaten runs to thirteen game when Crown won 7-2 against third in the table The Bell and Springfield by the same scoreline beat Ex Serviceman’s ‘A’ who are placed fourth.

No change at the top of the Halesowen Friday Night League as the top three teams all chalked up wins, leaders Members Club ‘A’ with 180’s from R.Hill and K.Dauncer won 5-2 at The Laurels, second placed The Vine who are four points behind the leaders with a game in hand beat Townsend 7-0 and third placed Chop House were also 7-0 winners against Hare and Hounds.
Bottom of the table Members Club ’B’ recorded their second win in 13 when they beat next to bottom Ex Serviceman’s 4-3.

The Tamworth League staged the finals of their Mile Oak Challenge Cup and once again it was reigning league champions and current league leaders Fox and Dogs who came out on top. In the semi finals they won 4-1 against Old Liberal House and joining them in the final was Dolphin ‘A’ who beat Globe Inn (Wilnecote).
The final saw Fox and Dogs beat Dolphin ‘A’ 4-0 the same scoreline by which they recently defeated Dolphin ‘B’ in the final of the Paul Caswell Memorial Cup.
There was just one rearranged league fixture in which Fox and Dogs won 6-1 against Dolphin ‘B’, not really a good week for the Dolphins!!

Although Riley’s ‘C’ won 4-3 at home to Village in division one of the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League they dropped one place in the table to fourth trailing on average to Victoria who had a 5-2 win at Wednesfield Conservative Club, that extra winning game giving them third place advantage.
Wednesfield Legion ‘A’ were the only losers in the top five losing 5-2 at home against top of the table Wednesfield FC.
Division two leaders Pheasant had an emphatic 7-0 win away to Fordhouses CC who as a result dropped from second to fifth in the table behind on average from Whitmore Reans WMC, Roebuck and Bull all four teams are on 24 points four adrift of Pheasant.

Riley’s ‘B’ third in the Tettenhall Wednesday Night League table lost ground in the title race as they lost 4-3 to their local rivals and current divisional leaders Riley’s ‘A’. Riley’s ‘A’ with 36 points are four ahead of second placed Otter and Vixen who won 5-2 at Brewood British Legion, Riley’s ‘B’ with 28 points are a further four points adrift.
