It has been announced in HM The Queen’s 2013 Honours List that Warwickshire County Darts Organisation and International super star Trina Gulliver has been awarded an MBE for her services to darts and charity work.
Trina becomes the first ever female darts player to be recognised and honoured in this way and her second to none record only goes to highlight the fact that she fully deserves the award. The nine-time Women’s World Professional Champion and England Captain obtained the nickname “The Golden Girl” in 1999 after winning three gold medals in the World Cup at Durban and since then has won countless National and International titles including five Winmau World Masters titles.
I’m sure all darts players around the world will join me in congratulating Trina on a tremendous achievement she truly is the “First Lady of Darts”.
