Full marks to the West Midlands, who in the adverse weather conditions made the long trek to the south west to take on Cornwall in their division one fixture. Unfortunately they were not rewarded for their endeavour and went down 23-13, their hosts taking over pole position in the division one promotional table.
Saturday saw the ladies draw 3-3, Gemma Barrett (13.79) lady of the match and the men’s team lose by a massive 10-2, Viv Gould (22.41) their top man. Sunday’s results were reversed with the men making a 6-6 draw and the ladies losing 4-2. Top players for the ‘A’ matches were Ian Jones (29.18) and Sarah Thornbury (23.12).
