In the premier division Warwickshire travelled to take on Oxfordshire and both of their ‘B’ side won and the two ‘A’ teams lost, giving a final result of 19-17 to the visitors. The men’s ‘A’ lost 8-4 with Mark McGeeney (28.73) the man of the match for the second successive game. The ‘B’ side won 7-5 with Prakash Jiwa (26.33) their top man. For the ladies ‘A’ Trina Gulliver (25.47) was again the top lady in a 4-2 defeat, while Caroline Pike (17.79) had the top average in their 4-2 win.
Despite losing Warwickshire actually moved up one place off the foot of the table, Oxforshire took over the number two spot.
