A trip to South Wales to take on Glamorgan was the latest task for Warwickshire in the premier division of the Riley’s BDO Inter County Championships, and they returned with what could be a valuable 18-18 draw. There were mixed fortunes for the teams in Saturday’s games as the ladies suffered a 4-2 defeat with Linda Farrell (16.17) their top player and the men recorded their second successive victory a 7-5 win with Mark Westgarth (27.83) their player of the match.
Sunday’s games finished all square the ladies 3-3 and the men 6-6, Trina Gulliver (26.37) and Steve Hine (30.81) taking the respective match awards.
