It looks as though it is going to be a cold winter for the Warwickshire County Darts Organisation as they finished the year with a record of played three lost three in the premier division of the Riley’s British Inter Counties Championships. The latest fixture was a home tie against Cheshire, who in all fairness are currently riding high in the table in third place, but it was a game which Warwickshire needed points to lift them a little higher in the table. The result was a massive 27-9 victory to the visitors with all four Warwickshire teams losing and the team dropping to the foot of the table. The men’s ’A’ went down 10-2, the ’B’ 7-5 and both ladies teams lost 5-1. Award winners were Nigel Heydon (’A’ 27.83), Mark McGeeney (’B’ 28.36), Trina Gulliver (’A’ 28.36) and Tracey Edgecombe (’B’ 17.70).
