Played three, won three that’s Warwickshire’s record so far this season in division one of the Kaliber BDO Inter Counties Championships. The latest fixture saw Warwickshire make the short journey to take on neighbouring Staffordshire, returning with a 19-17 victory. The win has taken them into second place in the promotional table with 68 points just five short of leaders Gwent.
The men’s ’A’ side stretched their winning run to three with their second consecutive 8-4 result, Steve Hine (29.31) winning his second match award in as many games. Mark Kane (28.90) took the ’B’ side’s award, but his team are still struggling to win their first game as they finished on the wrong side of a 7-5 verdict for the third time.
The ladies teams both finished all square at 3-3 with Trina Gulliver (22.10) the ’A’ teams top player and Denise Burke (15.90) the ’B’s.
