After three consecutive wins in division one of the Kaliber BDO Inter Counties Championships, Warwickshire were unable to round off the year with a 100% record. Playing away to Oxfordshire, Warwickshire finished on the wrong side of a 20-16 result, which sees their opponents leap frog them in the table and move into fourth place on 86 points, while Warwickshire are fifth three behind them. Only winners of the weekend were the men’s ’B’ who won 7-5 with Kevin Taylor (29.35) taking the match award. The ’A’ team game ended all square at 6-6, Nigel Heydon (29.47) their top man.
It was a disastrous fixture for the ladies as the ’A’ lost 4-2 and the ’B’ 5-1, Trina Gulliver (25.47) and Denise Burke (15.82) taking the respective match awards.
