Warwickshire County Darts Organisation made it three wins in as many games when they played hosts to local rivals Staffordshire and beat them 19-17 to put them third in the division one promotion table on67 points, just one behind second placed County Durham and only two adrift of leaders Surrey.
The ladies ’B’ side finished all square at 3-3 with Mo Jennings (16.16) taking the match award. The ’A’ team recovered from their defeat in the previous outing against Dorset to win 4-2 , Trina Gulliver (28.36) making three consecutive awards from three games so far this season.
The men’s ’B’, with an award winning performance from Noel Grant (29.47) finished all square at 6-6, while the ’A’ side made it two in a row when they emulated the ’B’ teams 6-6 draw. Top player for the ’A’ was Tom Aldridge (26.47) also for the second consecutive game.
