Recently West Midlands not only completed their season in division three of the Kaliber BDO Inter Counties Championships but also their stay in that division. A 23-16 win away to Leicestershire ensured the runners up spot in the division and promotion to division two for their next campaign. The only downside to the weekend was that the men’s ‘A’ lost 7-5, the ‘B’ won 8-4 to end the season undefeated with eight wins and a draw, a magnificent performance. The ladies ‘A finished all square at three each and the ‘B’ won 4-2. Taking the respective ‘A’ and ‘B’ match awards were Mick James (28.36), Leanne Jennings (18.11), Andy Forrester (28.36) and Sarah Robbins (18.11).
