Staffordshire recently called off their away fixture against Warwickshire in the premier division of the Kaliber BDO Inter Counties Championships due to the snowfall over the weekend of the 10th and 11th February, the only county to cancel their game. Last weekend the match was played at Canley Sports and Social Club, Coventry and the result was a much needed 22-14 win for Warwickshire, their biggest and only second victory of the season so far, both ladies teams won 4-2 with Wendy Adams (19.24) taking the ’B’ teams match award and inevitably Trina Gulliver (27.33) winning the ‘A’ trophy.
The men’s ‘B’ are still seeking their first win of the campaign as they lost to their counterparts 7-5, but the ‘A’ team chalked up their second success of the season a 9-3 victory with Dave Harris jnr (29.41) their top man. Trevor Frost, with a 24.66 average won the ‘B’ team’s award.
