Not even home advantage was enough to give Warwickshire the points against Cambridgeshire in their latest fixture in the premier division of the Kaliber BDO Inter Counties Championship. With one win and five defeats in their previous encounters the home side were anxious to chalk up another win to add to their tally, unfortunately they had to satisfy themselves with a share of the spoils.
There were mixed fortunes for the men’s teams as the ’A’ side won 9-3 (Martin Angell 29.99 man of the match) and the ’B’ went down 7-5 with Dave Atkins (26.54) their top man). Trina Gulliver (25.05) helped the ladies ’A’ to a 3-3 draw, while Betty Sinnett (15.45) was the only player to win for the ’B’ side.
