After two opening defeats against Kent and Lincolnshire it was more than a welcome result when Warwickshire, in their latest Kaliber BDO Inter Counties Championship premier division fixture beat Essex 21-15.
Both ladies teams were in top form the ‘A’ side winning 5-1 and the ‘B’ 4-2. Taking the respective match awards were Trina Gulliver (27.83) and Betty Sinnett (18.11). The men however, finished all square at six each leaving both teams still seeking their first win of the campaign. Top player for the ‘A’ was Tom Aldridge (28.900, while Mark Carter (29.47) took the ’B’ teams award.
