The British Champions Cup regional play off at Canley Sports and Social Club, Marler Road, Canley, Coventry, saw West Midlands emerge as the men’s champions. The local county beat Bedfordshire 5-4 in the semi finals and then went on to earn a place in the grand finals at Derby on Sunday 8th August, with a 5-2 win over Leicestershire in the final. Warwickshire went out of the competition in the semis, losing 6-3 to Leicestershire.
In the ladies event Warwickshire and West Midlands made their exits in the last four. Warwickshire lost 4-3 to Cambridgeshire and West Midlands 5-2 to Bedfordshire. Cambridgeshire won the final 5-2.
