It was a good start to the 2002-2003 season in the BDO Inter Counties Championships for Warwickshire who playing at home in the premier division to Greater London registered a 24-12 victory. There were terrific 5-1 wins for both ladies teams, with Clare Bywaters (20.59) and Dawn Barnes (17.48) taking the respective A and B match awards.
There were mixed fortunes for the men as the ‘A’ finished all square at six each, Scott Mitton their top man with a 31.31 average, while the ‘B’ secured an 8-4 win with their man of the match Colin Laffar (28.90).
