Warwickshire finished their BDO Inter Counties Championship season in the premier division on a high beating Lincolnshire 25-14. The men’s ‘A’ team were the only losers of the weekend, going down 4-8 with Pat Koyce their top player with a 28.66 average. The ‘B’ side’s trophy went to Scott Mitton as they raced to a comfortable 9-3 victory. The ladies ‘A’ and ‘B’ won 5-1 and 4-2 respectively, the former maintaining and unbeaten run throughout the season. Claire Barber (20.04) was the ‘B’ team’s lady of the match, but for the ‘A’ for the first time in three years, an amazing 27 fixtures, there is a name other than that of Trina Gulliver collecting the trophy. Clare Bywaters with an average of 26.99 took the award with Trina on 25.05 having to be content with second place.
