There was little joy in the BDO Inter Counties Championship as Warwickshire went down 19-17. Warwickshire travelled south to take on Cambridgeshire. Saturdays games opened up with a 5-1 defeat for the ladies, Caroline Pike (17.89) the only winner. The men however, recorded their second consecutive 8-4 victory, Trevor Frost their top man with a 28.51 average.

Sundays fixtures began like Saturdays, the ladies again going down by 5-1. Trina Gulliver was the winner on this occasion with a very impressive 26.37 average. Once more the men’s team came up trumps winning 7-5, but it was not enough to avoid an overall defeat. Geoff Wylie (28.35) was the ‘A’ teams man of the match.
