The Stourbridge and District Monday Night League have completed their fixtures and the title could not have been more fiercely contested as High Acres, with a final 6-3 win at Bird ‘A’ (Stourbridge) finished with 68 from their 38 games and runners up Brickmakers, who had a similar 6-3 win in their tie at The Cat also ended up with 68 points, but with an inferior average.
Ten Arches took the third spot, a close 5-4 win against Church Tavern giving them a total of 64 points, six ahead of fourth placed Bird ‘A’ (Stourbridge).
Crestwood Beauties finished their season with a 9-0 defeat at the hands of the Plough, leaving them without a single win in their 38 games. However, the Plough’s win saw them overtake Bird ‘B’ (Stourbridge) to clinch the shadow league title with 20 points, Bird ‘B’, who lost their last game 6-3 to the Bird (Wordesley) finished runners up with the same 20 points as the Plough.

Crown ‘A’ took their winning run to nineteen games in the Cradley Tuesday Night League when they won 7-2 away to Hasbury Inn. Crown ‘A’ now have 38 points, six more than their two nearest rivals Chainmakers ‘B’ and members Club. Chainmakers ‘B’ beat Jays Bar 5-4 to replace Members Club in second place after they lost 6-3 at Netherton Sports and Social ‘B’.
Brickmakers, who are third a further four points adrift had a bye this week and now have a game in hand on the three teams above them.

The Sheldon and District Summer League got their new season underway and in group one there were 6-2 wins for Saltley Amateur Gardeners and Highwood Arrows, while in group two it was Langley Hall Sports and Social, who registered the top score, a 6-2 win at Sheldon Dukes. 6-2 was also the biggest win in group’s three and four with Raven and Riley’s Misfits the respective winners.
Willclare Sports and Social were in top form in group five, a 7-1 away win against Greville putting them top of the table. Shard End Social went one better in group six they handed out an 8-0 whitewash to their visitors Ridgemere Rejects.
Both games in group seven ended 5-3, there were wins for Meadway Sports and Social and Emerald Flights, who in turn accounted for Highwood Exiles ‘B’ and Langley Hall Ladies.

Knockouts have been the order of the day for the Camp Hill League. The League Cup was won by league runners up Gulp Tribe, who beat league champions Cotterills Lane Club 5-2 in the final. The Consolation Cup title went to Scruffy Ringers, a convincing 6-1 win over Westminster Lions in their final.
Te Captains Knockout Cup was won by Wagonners Peter Freeman and the Secretaries Knockout Cup by Dave Carter (Great Western).

Division three of the Forest of Arden Summer League produced a top of the table clash between leaders Centurion and second placed New Inns. The result was a resounding 7-0 for Centurion to make it five wins in as many games. For New Inns this was their first defeat of the campaign and although they hang on to second place they are now trailing by two points.
Olton Crown have also won all five of their fixtures in division one, the latest being a close 4-3 away to Greville Arrows, who are next to bottom in the table.
Iron Horse lead the way in division two, they won their home game against third in the table Highwood ‘C’ 4-3.

Whitmore Reans WMC ended the first half of the Tettenhall and District League’s fixture card with a 5-2 win at Moreton to make it eleven straight wins and 22 points to put them six clear at the top with Riley’s and Otter and Vixen ‘B’ both on 16 points. Riley’s completed the half with a 5-2 win at the Bull, while by the same scoreline Otter and Vixen ‘B’ won at Claregate.

The Small Heath League had a shock result this week when bottom of the table Cob’s Bar chalked up only their third win in thirteen games and surprisingly it was at Westminster Lions. Cob’s 5-4 win knocked Westminster off their second perch and down to third in the table to leave them on the same 16 points as Emerald Club, who take over the second spot but trailing on average and having played two games more.
Leaders Gulp Tribe had a 7-2 home win over Shannon’s and now have a massive eight points lead over the rest of the field.
Cob’s Bar’s win moves them up into second place in the shadow league table, two points off leaders Wagon and Horses.

There was a vital game in division one of the Wolverhampton and District Tuesday Night League when second in the table Victoria took on third placed Riley’s ‘C’. The result was an impressive 6-1 win for Riley’s ‘C’ to lift them into second place and see their hosts, Victoria drop two places to fourth. Although in fourth place Victoria have the same 20 points and average as third placed Ashmore Inn and also the same number of points as Riley’s ‘C’. All three teams are four points behind leaders Otter and Vixen, who travelled to take on middle of the table Village ‘B’ and beat them 7-0.
It’s neck and neck in division two with Wednesfield Legion ‘A’ and Wednesfield Conservative Club both on 26 points. The latest round of fixtures saw Wednesfield Legion ‘A’ who lead the table on average beat Riley’s ‘B’ 4-3 and the Conservative Club defeat Ukrainian Club by the same scoreline.

There were rare wins for two of the lower placed teams in the Rowley Monday Night League in the most recent round of fixtures. Next to bottom Haden Cross registered only their fourth win in nineteen games when they won 5-4 away to bottom of the table Victoria Inn. Hunting Tree, who are just above Haden Cross on average, won their home tie with Fairfield, who are in a mid table position, by the same 5-4 margin.
At the other end of the table there was little change as all of the top four teams won. Leaders Crown completed the first half of the campaign undefeated, winding up the half with an impressive 8-1 home win over the Boat. Four points adrift of the Crown is second in the table Springfield Social Club, who won their home game with the Bell 6-3. Ex Serviceman’s Club and Allens Sports Bar are both a further two points adrift on 32 points. Ex Serviceman’s won 7-2 at home to the Bull, while Allens Sports Bar took over the Bell’s fourth place with a 6-3 win over White Swan.
