Sue Kingdon, secretary of the South Birmingham League is holding a charity event at Riley’s, Castle Vale on Friday 27th June starting at 8.00pm. There will be a knockout with a £5.00 entry fee, however the winner and runner up will receive a trophy not cash, the reason for this is that all of the money raised will go to help local lad Vinnie Whitehead, who requires sensory lighting as he suffers from Menkes Disease. Vinnie has no funding whatsoever and the cash raised from the evening will all go to help his cause.
The last eight players in the knockout will go on to play against Ronny and Kim Huybrechts plus Jelle Klassan at the Castle Vale venue on a date to be confirmed sometime in September. Everyone involved is kindly giving their time for free.
