As the BDO Inter County Championships season draws to a close Warwickshire will play their final game of nine away to Kent at the Six in One Club, Northwood Road, Tonbridge.
Enjoying an excellent season with six wins and only two defeats, Warwickshire have every chance to finish on a high as they are 27 points and three places above their hosts, a win would guarantee them a very lofty third place in the table.

The Netherton Thursday Night League played off their 3 a-side knockout and taking the honours were K.Harris, K.Chambers and R.Smith (Springfield Social Club), who in the final had a 2-1 win over a Fairfield trio of J.Green, T.Bannister and J.Southall.
Just one rearranged fixture was played in the league which saw league leaders Rose and Crown beat their nearest rivals Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club 6-3.

The Tamworth League staged the finals of their Mile Oak Rovers Challenge Cup. In the last four games Dolphin ‘A’ beat Sports Bar ‘180’ 4-1 and Fox and Dogs had a 4-2 win against Three Tuns, Fazeley to set up a final between the league’s top two teams.
The result of the final was a convincing 4-1 win for the league’s only unbeaten team Fox and Dogs.
In two rearranged games there were 4-3 wins for Globe Inn and Wigginton over respective opponents Longwood and Mile Oak Rovers. Bottom of the table Wigginton’s win was something of a surprise as Mile Oak Rovers were 26 points and five places ahead of them in the table.

There were wins for the top four teams in division two of the South Birmingham League this week, with leaders and champions St John’s having the smallest win, a 5-4 success over The Dog. Second in the table Iron Horse had a 7-2 win away to The Trident, while third placed Banbury Flights won their home tie with Smithswood Social 8-1, making up the top four is Toby Jug, who won 6-3 at The Kingfisher.

The Sheldon and District Winter League have completed their programme and Saltley Amateur Gardeners have played and won all 22 of the games to clinch the premier division title with a perfect total of 44 points, eight more than second placed Crown at Shard End. Taking the top division’s Shadow League title was Mackadown Social.
Division one was won by Raven, their 38 points was again eight more than the runners up EBAHA. Yardley Ex Colts won the division one Shadow League.
Division two was the closest fought title, Crown Arrows winning the division with 40 points, Baldwin Bears finished as runners up with four points fewer than the champions. The Shadow League title went to Highwood Exiles.
As the league winds down the season various finals have been played off and taking the doubles title were J.Sidwell and B.Nixon from Crown at Olton, with D.Sutton and C.Horsley (George V) the losing finalists. Sidwell then made it a fantastic double by winning the singles knockout, beating M.Heaven from Mackadown Social in the final.
Saltley Amateur Gardeners completed a superb double adding a League Cup win to their premier division title by beating Highwood ‘A’ 6-3 in the final.
Division one champions, Raven were unable to make it a similar double as they lost 5-4 to fourth placed Riley’s Rags in their final.
The top two teams in division two, Crown Arrows and Baldwin Bears met in their League Cup final and the 6-3 result went in favour of Baldwin Bears, who ended the season as runners up to Crown Arrows.

Gulp Tribe, second in the Camp Hill League table had an important 6-1 win against Bordesley Labour Club, who are just one place below them and now six points adrift.
At the other end of the table Devil’s Club had their game with leaders Cotterills Lane Club cancelled, but nevertheless moved off the foot of the table as Station Hotel lost 6-1 at Wagonners and with an inferior average drop into the bottom spot.

With the game between Shannon’s and Emerald Club being cancelled in the Small Heath League, Westminster Lions 6-3 win over Sheldon Marlborough Flights has taken them into second place in the table with 14 points. Shannon’s and Emerald Club are both on 12 point’s, whoever wins the game in hand will take over the number two position.
Leaders Gulp Tribe suffered their first defeat of the season’s ten games played so far when they surprisingly lost their home tie with Clock Inn, who are third from bottom, 5-4. Nevertheless Gulp Tribe still have a four points advantage over the rest of the field.

With Bulls Head ‘A’ top of the Pip Club League and Bulls Head ‘B’ next to bottom, it was no surprise that the leaders won the game 14-2 to keep them four points ahead of Birchmoor Club, who won 10-6 at home against White Lion.

No change at the top of the Cradley Tuesday Night League as all of the top four teams won this week. Leaders Crown ‘A’ were held to a close 5-4 win at the Gate (Darby End), who are fifth in the table and similarly second placed Chainmakers ‘B’ also only won 5-4 at home to sixth placed Netherton Sports and Social ‘B’.
Third and fourth placed Members Club and Brickmakers both won 6-3 against respective opponents Crown ‘B’ and Chainmakers ‘A’.

The Forest of Arden Summer League have got their new season underway and after two fixtures Olton Crown lead division one, Iron Horse division two and New Inns division three, all three teams having won their opening two games.

After losing their home game against Springfield Social Club 5-4, Ivy Bush ‘Z’ have dropped from third to fourth in the Rowley Monday Night League, Springfield remain in second place two points behind Crown, who made it sixteen straight wins when they beat Haden Cross 8-1. Allens Sports Bar also won 5-4 at the Bell to bring them level on the same 22 points as their hosts, but they have played one game more.

After only nine fixtures have been played in the Tettenhall Wednesday Night League, Whitmore Reans WMC already have a six points lead at the top of the table. In their latest game they handed out a 7-0 whitewash to their visitors Brewood British Legion to maintain their unbeaten run.
