Highwood Flights currently top of group two in the Sheldon and District Summer League were surprisingly held to a 4-4 draw at Kingshurst and District Labour Club, who are bottom of the group.
Group one’s Riley’s Kings were certainly in form as Trevor Frost hit two maximums and Ian McFarlane one as they returned from Saltley Amateur Gardeners with a 5-3 win to give them 13 points from seven games and keep them in the number one spot. Second in the table Iron Horse also won their tie at Highwood Arrows 5-3 to keep within six points of the leaders with a game in hand.
George V ‘A’ lost for the first time in eight games in group three when they went down 5-3 away to Marston Green Tavern, who are three places and four points behind them.
In group four Riley’s Rags continue to impress a 7-1 success at Maggies making it eight straight wins and giving them a seven point’s advantage over Custard House ‘A’, who lost 6-2 at Crown Arrows, Shard End, to put both teams on nine point’s.
It was a battle of the Ivy Leaf’s in group seven Ivy Leaf ‘B’ lead the division on 14 point’s, their clash with local rivals Ivy Leaf Flights, who are next to bottom of the table finished all square at 4-4

With a 5-2 win against Riley’s Red Arrows, Olton Crown have gone top of division one in the Forest of Arden Summer League. From their opening seven games Highwood ‘A’ have amassed 10 points and are in second place.
Highwood ‘C’ beat their division three opponents Ivy Leaf Bulls 4-3 to give them a four points lead, plus a game in hand on their nearest rivals Riley’s Wings, who defeated Greville Arms 5-2.

A final reminder that the Tamworth Darts League Presentation and Exhibition Night will be staged this coming Saturday 31st August at the Mile Oak Rovers FC, Price Avenue, Mile Oak, Tamworth. This year’s special guest and putting on the exhibition will be Dennis ‘The Menace’ Priestley, a great player and a true legend of darts.
Doors will open at 7.00pm, there will be raffles and an auction on the night, with proceeds going to S.P.I.N. (Special People In Need) and The Stroke association.
The league is on the lookout for new teams to join them in the forthcoming season. Match nights are Tuesday with a minimum of five players per team.

Electric, long time leaders of division two in the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League are now in free fall and placed fourth in the table, their most recent 4-3 defeat was against rivals Riley’s ‘A’, who are one place above them leaving them four points adrift of top team Village ‘B’ who won their fixture with Riley’s ‘B’ 5-2.
Bull are second in the table, a 4-3 win at Roebuck keeping them level on points with Village ‘B’ and only trail on average. The top three teams are all on 34 points.
Village ‘A’ lead the way in division one, they have a four points buffer over second placed Otter and Vixen ‘B’. Village ‘A’ had a 4-3 win away to Wednesfield Legion ‘A’, while Otter and Vixen ‘B’ had a convincing, but vital 6-1 win over Victoria, who are third in the table. Fourth placed Wolverhampton Sports Arena lost their home tie with next to bottom of the table Merry Boys 4-3 to put them level on 26 points with Victoria.
There was a rare win for bottom placed Bird in Hand as they won 4-3 at Boat ’B’, who are four places off the foot of the table.

No change at the top of the Rowley Monday Night League as the top five teams all won. Leaders Bulls Head (Rowley) beat Timber Tree 8-1 to remain six points ahead of second placed Bell, who won 7-2 away to bottom of the table Moon Under Water.
Ivy Bush ‘Z’ who won 5-4 against Allens Sports and Social are a further two points behind, while Bull Terrier and Ex Serviceman’s Club, both on 34 points in turn won 7-2 against Hunting Tree and 6-3 at Springfield Social Club.

The Cradley Tuesday Night League staged the second round of their doubles competition and going into the hat for the semi finals will be, W.Weston and C.Hart (Quarry Bank Liberal Club), P.Hadley and S.Hill (Yeltz Bar), B.Neale and A.Cowley (Jays Bar) and T.Stockton and R.Tipper.

Just average separates the top two teams in the Tettenhall Wednesday Night League as top side Wednesfield FC won 5-2 at Wrottesley Arms, Riley’s ‘B’, with the same scoreline won at the Bull.
Riley’s ‘A’ stay two points behind the leading duo thanks to a 5-2 win at Fordhouses CC and making up the top four wins were Whitmore Reans WMC, who had a 6-1 success at Jones Road.

Riley’s Kings kept their unbeaten run intact in group ‘C’ of the South Birmingham League with a 6-2 win at home to Pavilions, whose A.Aston was in top form with six scores of 100 or more, a maximum and a twelve darts game. Crown at Shard End are on the same eleven points as Kings following their 5-3 home win over The Raven, however they have played one game more than their rivals.
In group one Punch Bowl and Farthings squared up to each other and with both teams on eight points the outcome was vital to both teams. The result was a 5-3 win for the hosts Punch Bowl to put them level on ten points with leaders Mackadown Social, but Mackadown have two games in hand on Punch Bowl and Farthings have one.

No fewer than three teams are level on ten points at the top of the Camp Hill League. Cotterills Lane Club lead the field, their 7-0 whitewash handed out to Station giving them the edge on average over Scruffy Ringers, who were 5-2 winners at Shaftmoor Lions. Third placed Bordesley Labour Club were another team to win 7-0 in their home game with Waggoners, but they have now played two more games than the two teams above them.

Just one result from the Small Heath League which saw Wagon and Horses win their home fixture with Custard House 7-2. Prior to the game both teams were on 30 points, the win sees Wagon and Horses go two points clear of their opponents and take over third place in the table, 4 points behind second placed Emerald Club and a massive 14 points adrift of leaders Gulp Tribe.
