In division one of the Four Oaks and District League Anvil Nomads got off to a good start at home to Sutton Sports going 2-0 up but then plunged to a 7-2 defeat. Red Lion Flights also won 7-2 at home to Boldmere Sports to stay level on points and average at the top of the table with Sutton Sports.

It was déjà vu in division two as both The Leopard and Drakes Drum won 7-2 against respective opponents White Lion and Pint Pot Flights to remain tied at the top of the table on six points, Drakes Drum having the slightly better average

Bromford Club and The Heartlands both lost for the first time this season in division three, Bromford losing 7-2 at home to The Beehive and Heartlands going down 5-4 hosting Brookvale who have now gone top of the table on average in turn from The Beehive, The Heartlands, Bromford Club and Plough and Barrows, all five having four points.

The Small Heath League had cup semi finals on their fixture card, first the League Cup in which Custard House, in just two weeks recorded a double over Mitre. From 2-0 up Custard House trailed 4-3, but came good in the end to win 5-4.

In the second semi final, division one runners up Emerald Club took on division two champions Midland Darts Centre and won with a convincing 7-2 scoreline.

The last four of the Upside Down Cup saw division one winners Scanlons beat the division two runners up Redhill Tavern 6-3, while another division one team, Wagon and Horse beat Sheldon Marlborough Flights (division two) 7-2.

The men’s and ladies doubles have been the order of the day for the Forest of Arden Summer League and taking the honours in the men’s competition were Dave Cherry and Chris King. The ladies title went to Kath Depper and Kirsty Coffman.

The Camp Hill League will be holding their AGM on the Sunday 18th November at 11.30am at the Wagon and Horses, Digbeth.

The South Birmingham League have got their new season underway and the early leaders in division one are Raven Flights and Riley’s Kings, both teams winning their first games 6-3 against respective opponents The Raven and The Digby Hotel.

Neil Parsonage notched a 180 for the Crown Shard End, his team unfortunately lost 5-4 at Mackadown Social, in division two The Centurion are top following a 7-2 win at home to Smithswood Social.

After five fixtures Riley’s Arrows lead the way in the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter League. Riley’s have 8 points from five games but are closely followed by Raven and Saltley Amateur Gardeners who both have 6 points from four games.

Shirley RBL Flights are top of division one with a maximum ten points from their opening five games, Banbury Club are currently second with 8 points and Yardley Arms third, also on eight points with a game in hand on the two teams above them.

Small Heath Amateur Gardeners are the only team with a 100% win record in division two. They are in third place behind George V, with the same six points and are two points behind leaders Willclare Sports and Social however, they have a game in hand on George V and two on Willclare.

The Challenge Cup was on the Pip Club League’s agenda and in division one there were wins for J.W.Belgrave and Bulls Head (Polesworth), who in turn defeated Dosthill Club and Sports Bar ‘180’. Dolphin and Birchmoor Club had byes.

In division two making it to the next round were Pip Club, Belgrave Club and Travellers at the expense of Gate Inn, Royal Oak and Two Gates Club. Old Liberal Club had a bye.

It was the first two rounds of the League Cup for the Tamworth League, progressing into the next round will be Three Horse Shoes, Sports Bar ‘180’, Globe and Dolphin Inn.
