This weekend the local counties go into the third fixture of nine in the BDO Inter County Championships and Warwickshire, who will play hosts to Cheshire at the Bishopsgate Club, Foleshill Road, Coventry are currently level on 30 points with bottom of the table Kent and still seeking their first win. Cheshire will be another difficult game as they are riding high in a lofty third place in the table.

Winners were, Custard House, Emerald Club, Midland Darts Centre, Mitre, Scanlone, who in turn defeated Cobs Bar, Redhill Tavern, Sheldon Marlboro Flights, Wagon and Horses and Custard House Flights.
Custard House are at number one by one leg of average from last week’s leaders Emerald Club.

There were shocks for the leaders of divisions one and three in the Four Oaks and District League this week. Sutton Sports, despite losing 5-4 at home to third placed Plough and Arrows, their first defeat of the season, hold onto top spot in the first division, but now Deer’s Leap and Plough and Arrows are on the same eight points with a game in hand.
Erdington Arrows lost the top position in division three following their 5-4 reversal away to Drakes Drum, who have replaced Arrows as leaders and have a two point’s advantage over the rest of the field.
In division two Oscott Social Reds moved off the foot of the table after recording their first win of the campaign, a 5-4 win away to the Leopard, who have now moved into the bottom place.

The Pip Club League played off their divisional cup finals and winning the division one title, with a final victory over Dolphin were Red Lion. Bulls Head (Polesworth) won the division two event with Bolehall Swifts runners up.

Recently players from the New Firs Flights attempted to break three world records at the New Firs Entertainment venue in Birmingham, and with final verification from the Guinness Book of Records all three were broken.
First an eight man team comprising of Sean O’Donnell, Luis Barberan, Mark O’Donnell, Chris McFall, Robbie Earl, Tom Fitzpatrick, Lee Beech and Mike McFall set out to score more than 21,944 in one hour set by a team in 2009. The result was they chalked up a total of 24,541, beating the previous record by 2,597.
Twelve years old Luis Barberan contested the second record, which was to hit as many inner and outer bull’s-eyes in one minute. The existing record was seven recorded by professional player, Anastasia Dobromyslova. Luis set a new record of eight.
The final task was to score more than 475 in two minutes scoring only on inner and outer bull’s-eyes. Taking the challenge were Andy Hutchings and Bob Nixon, together they scored 700.
A great night of darts and with approval from the Guinness Book of Records officials, three new world records for Birmingham darts players.
