This coming weekend Warwickshire go into their second premier division fixture of the season in the Riley’s BDO Inter Counties Championships looking to bounce back from their opening day massive 28-8 defeat away to Yorkshire.

The thisisdarts.co.uk Individual League have completed their fixture card and now officially Ian McFarlane is crowned as champion, something that has been a reality for a number of weeks. Finishing as runner up was Robbie Earl on 162 points, 35 short of McFarlane.
Special mention also goes to Brian Johnson who has run the league, Stuart Bliss of thisisdarts for his sponsorship and eleven years old Luis Barberan who finished the season in fifth place from a finishing list of 22 players.

The Sheldon and District Winter league have got their season underway and in the premier division Kingshurst Labour Club could not have wished for a much better start as they chalked up an 8-1 away win against Stechford Social. Forget-Me-Not won by the same margin in division two as they beat Highwood ‘B’.
On the individual scene the first maximum of the season went to division one man B.Ancorn (Highwood ‘A’) in
His side’s 7-2 win at Yardley Arms. R.Earl (Beaufort Sports and Social) chalked up a 160 break although his team finished on the wrong side of a 5-4 verdict at home to Yardley Ex Colts.

In the first qualifying round of the Riley’s Midlands Master played at Wolverhampton Dean Stewart was the eventual winner. Stewart will now go forward to the finals to be played on the 11th December and joining him will be the remainder of the last eight in the competition, Ash Khayat, David Pallet, Mick Todd, Lee Butler, Matt Padgett, Nick Bache and Liam Willems.

The Pip Club League have been engaged in their Sports Bar Knockout. In the first round in division one Red Lion beat J W Belgrave Club, while in division two there were wins for Bull (Polesworth), Travellers, Queens Bar and Two Gates Club, who in turn defeated Sports Bar, Progressive Club, Bolehall Swifts and Old Liberal Club.

The Small Heath League have their AGM on 10th October at the Emerald Club, Small Heath beginning at 11.30am. New and old teams are invited to the meeting.
