Three Horse Shoes consolidated their number one position in the Tamworth Sports Bar League with a massive 6-1 win over would be contender St Johns Club. Helping the Shoes on their way was Sam Whittaker who notched two maximums, making it five so far this season. Second placed Sports Bar 180 have a game in a hand on the leaders and mathematically they could still win the title, but at this stage with them trailing by 25 points and just a couple of games remaining it is very unlikely that the title will go to anyone other than Three Horse Shoes.
In the players league leader Clyde Hooper suffered a shock defeat by Mick Bagley and is now having to share the top spot with Mac Tarbuck who beat Wayne Deeley.

Mixed Doubles was the order of the day for the Gulp League and the final was a very closely contested high scoring affair. The 2-1 result went in favour of Terry Webster and Lorna Wyatt after Webster had scored 94 to leave double sixteen and for the opposition Mick O’Sullivan hit 121 to also leave a double for his partner Ann O’Sullivan. However, it was Lorna Wyatt who stepped up to the oche and hit the winning double to claim the title.
