Quite a few upsets in the Sheldon and District Winter League this week. First in division one leaders Kingshurst Labour Club suffered a surprising 6-3 home defeat at the hands of the Mackadown Social team, who are fourth in the table. As a result Kingshurst have lost their pole position to Old Bill and Bull, who have gone from third to top following a 6-3 home win over Highwood, who have dropped from second to third. This was only the second defeat for both Kingshurst and Highwood.
In division two Ridgemere Social have also been replaced at the top of the table after losing 5-4 at second in the table Forget-Me-Not. A 9-0 walkover was awarded to Custard House after Golden Acres defaulted. The increase in points and average has seen Custard House leap up the table and take over the number one spot level on the same eighteen points as Forget-Me-Not, but with a superior average.
Highlight in the premier division this week was the fantastic maximum game shot of 170 from Olton Legion’s Mark Wall.
