Carl Winters, after 2-1 wins over Jason Farthers and Ricky Lawrence holds on to pole position in the Brook Meadow 301 Individual League with 136 points, however Ian McFarlane has now caught up on his games in hand and this week’s 3-0 wins over Ricky Lawrence and Simon Davis plus a 2-1 success against Jake Smith has put him within four points of Winters.

Highest break of the week, 160 was supplied by Tony Comerford in his 3-0 win against Mark Elkin.

With Bromford Bridge Members Club Exiles having a bye this week in group one of the Sheldon and District Summer League, Mackadown Social took full advantage with 5-3 win at Olton RBL to leap frog the Exiles and go top of the division. For the second week running Saltley Amateur Gardeners lost, this time it was a surprise 5-3 verdict in favour of Sheldon Dukes.

RAFA have gone from third place and taken over the number one spot in group three following their 5-3 win over former leaders Redhill Tavern, who are now second and level on points with Highwood ’A’ who won 5-3 at Lea Hall Sports and Social Nomads.

Potcheen Still hold on to the top spot in the Small Heath League after beating bottom of the table Small Heath Amateur Gardeners 7-2. However, Stechford Social Club kept the pressure on the leaders with a similar 7-2 result in their away tie with Emerald Club and are now just two points behind with a game in hand.

As the league’s season fast draws to an end they are on the lookout for new teams to join them in the forthcoming campaign.

There was a top of the table clash in the Gulp League this week with Trotters playing hosts to the Tribe. The outcome was a 5-2 win for the Tribe and Trotters suffering their first defeat of the season. Tribe are now top of the table with 14 points, while Trotters have dropped to second place on 12 points, but with a game in hand on the Tribe.

Rebels had a close 4-3 victory at St Andrews and are placed third with the same 12 points as Trotters.

Tony Randell was in top scoring form against Tim Lowe in the Carlsberg Olton Double Top League. Randell hit no fewer than three maximums in his straight 3-0 victory and followed that with another 3-0 win over Phil Randell and yet another 180 to keep him within two points of league leader Bob Nixon. Nixon also had two straight wins in his games against bottom of the table Luke Coles and Neal Clarke.

Wayne Matthews is currently third on 20 points, one behind Randell and three adrift of Nixon. Matthews lost a little ground as both of his games against Rhys Duncan and Steve Harding finished 2-1.
