Played eight won eight and only one fixture remaining, that’s Warwickshire’s record in division one of the BDO Inter Counties Championships this season. With a 30 points lead on second placed Gwent and a massive 36 points advantage over third in the table Dorset, only a complete disaster can stop their promotion back to the premier division.
The latest fixture was a local derby against West Midlands and Warwickshire returned with their biggest away win of the campaign, a very convincing 27-9 result. Both men’s teams won 8-4, while the ladies ’A’ won 5-1 and the ’B’ handed out a 6-0 whitewash.
Match awards went to, West Midlands names first, men’s ’A’ Ian Jones (33.40, Nigel Heydon 34.31, men’s ’B’ Dean Stewart 26.59, Tony Nolan 26.54, women’s ’A’ Leanne Jennings 21.78, Trina Gulliver 24.62, women’s ’B’ Louise Graham 20.22 (Warwickshire).

A 7-2 defeat for Red Lion Flights means another win for Sutton Sports means Sutton have now won all fifteen of their games so far this season and have just one remaining, can they go through the season undefeated? only Hill Social can stop them now as they play hosts as they bring down the curtain on the seasons fixture list.
With Sutton already acclaimed division one champions and Sportsmans Rest runners up, there is still everything to play for in division two, with only one game to go. Bromford Lions head the division but by just one leg of average from Oscott Social. However, should both teams falter a win from third placed Old Oscott Arrows could give them the title as they boast the better average.
Three 180’s were scored this week by S.Andrews (Red Lion Flights), R.Hawker (Sutton Sports) and N.Robbins (Plough and Harrow Arrows).

In Gallett’s other game he beat Darren Whitehouse 2-1, Kelly had 3-0 wins over Simon Davis and Terry Blakemore.
Ricky Lawrence recorded the first maximum of the season in 21- win against Mark Elkin.

With the season fast drawing to an end Saltley Amateur Gardeners hold on to the number one spot in the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter League. A 7-2 win over Brook Meadow gives them a total of 28 points two more than Mackadown Social who beat RAFA 9-0. Shard End RBL are third on 24 points and have two games in hand on the teams above them. However, two 9-0 wins would bring them level on points with Saltley but they would still have an inferior average.
Stechford Social lead division two with 28 points from 19 games, Scanlons are second two points adrift and Iron Horse third also on 26 points. Iron Horse have played one game fewer than the leading duo and a win would see them take over the top spot.
Old Bill and Bull stay on course for the division two title, a 7-2 win over Yardley and District Darts Team giving them 36 points, two more than Willclare Sports and Social, who are second, plus Old Bill and Bull have a game in hand on Willclare.
