With 3-0 wins over Brendan Lysaught and Terry Blakemore, Adam Gallett has held on to pole position in the Brook Meadow 301 Individual League and at the same time maintained his 100% win record. Gallett now has a total of 27 points, five more than his nearest rival Keith Kelly who in his latest fixtures chalked up a 2-1 win against Chris Davis, but then lost his unbeaten record when he went down 2-1 to Ian McFarlane.

There was no change at the top of the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter League as leaders Saltley Amateur Gardeners, on 26 points beat RAFA 7-2 and second placed Mackadown Social, with 24 points, won 8-1 at Pavilions. Shard End RBL have joined Mackadown on 24 points after playing their outstanding fixture with Brook Meadow and winning 6-3, they now have a game in hand on the top two teams.

Scanlons have lost pole position in division one, dropping to third place after suffering a surprising 6-3 home defeat against Yardley Ex Colts. Iron Horse won their home tie with Sheldon Social 5-4 and have taken over the number one spot with Stechford Social moving into second place after their 5-4 home win over Shard End Social.

In the second division Old Bill and Bull made it seventeen wins in as many games when they handed out a 7-2 defeat to Small Heath Amateur Gardeners. Willclare Sports and Social lost ground in the title race when they lost their home tie with Highwood 5-4, however, they remain in second place, two points adrift of the leaders, but they have played one game more.

Anvil Nomads and Pint Pot Flights set up a new record this week in the Four Oaks and District League. In turn the two teams recorded 9-0 wins against Old Oscott WMC and Deer’s Leap Flights this was the first time two whitewashes were handed out in the same week.

In division two Old Oscott Arrows have been ousted from the top spot and have dropped to third in the table following their 5-4 reversal at Bromford Lions. Bromford have now moved into the number one spot and lead on average from Oscott Social, who won 7-2 at Pint Pot, Old Oscott Arrows are a further two points behind the leading pair.

T.Evans (Hill Social) and R.George (Aston Social) both recorded their second maximum‘s of the season this week.

Matt Cooper is the early leader in the Grange Sunday Night Charity 301 League. Matt has 15 points from his first six games and is top on average from Phil Watkins who has played one more game than Cooper.

In this week’s games Cooper beat Eddie Kennedy 2-1 and followed that with a straight 3-0 success against Warren Jones. Watkins meanwhile had mixed fortunes as he also won his first game against James Darby, but then faltered as he lost by the same margin to Eddie Kennedy.

The was a shock result for Sports Bar Club in division one of the Pip Club League this week as they lost their home fixture against Three Horse Shoes by a massive 7-1. Despite the heavy defeat they hold on to second place but now only by average as Wiggy 180 had a 4-4 draw with Winning Post. Leaders Glascote Club won 5-3 at Globe Inn to maintain their three points lead.

Queens Head hold a similar three points lead in the second division, a 5-3 home win against Two Gates Club securing that advantage. Queens nearest rivals Bull won 5-3 against Red Lion.

Potcheen Still have moved onto the same six points as Emerald Club, leaders of the Small Heath League, but have played one game more. This week saw Emerald have a bye, while Potcheen beat Wagon and Horses 6-3, the same scoreline by which Stechford Social Club won at Custard House. Biggest win of the week was supplied by Victoria Flights, they had a convincing 8-1 success against Small Heath Amateur Gardeners.
