This coming weekend Warwickshire County Darts Organisation will be looking to extend their winning run of four games and keep intact their 100% win record when they travel south to take on Middlesex in the seasons midway fixture in division one of the BDO Inter Counties Championships.
Currently second in the promotional table, six points behind leaders Gwent, Warwickshire are expected to win this latest fixture against Middlesex who are lying at the foot of the table. Cup games have been the order of the day for the Four Oaks and District League first the second round of the Brian Goodman Cup in which Sportsmans Rest chalked up a massive 8-1 win over Red Lion Flights and not far behind were Oscott Social who beat Bromford Lions 7-2. In their home derby against Old Oscott WMC, Old Oscott Arrows just scraped a 5-4 victory.
In the preliminary round of the Ken Rust Cup division one leaders Sutton Sports, with a 160 break from I.Scattergood had a convincing 9-0 success at Royal Oak Ruffians. The other game played saw Anvil Nomads win 7-2 against Deer’s Leap Flights.

Jimmy Norris, leader of the Grange Sunday Night 301 Charity League, lost a little of his advantage this week when he was beaten 2-1 by third in the table Eddie Kennedy. Norris quickly recovered and went on to win his next fixture against Mike Forsythe 2-1 giving him a total of 43 points from 18 games. Second place Matt Cooper also suffered mixed fortunes as he beat Dave Watkins 2-1 and then lost by the same margin to Julian Harris, leaving Cooper five points adrift of Norris with a game in hand.

Congratulations to Ian McFarlane who with a 4-3 result beat Tony Randell in the final of the Brook Meadow & Castle Bromwich Roofing knockout. Randell was in superb form throughout the competition and went 3-2 up in the final. However, McFarlane fought back to clinch the title with 12 and 15 darts legs. McFarlane received £100, Randell £40 and each of the losing semi finalists £17.50.
