Saltley Amateur Gardeners played their game in hand on Mackadown Social, leaders of the premier division in the Sheldon and District Winter League, and with a 6-3 home win over Shirley RBL have now taken over pole position but by the narrowest of margins. Both Saltley and Mackadown have played ten games and have 16 points, but Saltley are one leg of average to the good on their rivals. After a massive 8-1 home win over RAFA Shard End RBL are third and are level on points with the top two teams.
Division one provided a top of the table clash between leaders Vaughans and second placed Stechford Social, the latter being the hosts. As is usually the case in such games the result was close, the 5-4 scoreline going in favour of Vaughans to keep them top of the table but now with a two points advantage.
In division two Old Bill and Bull, who head the table had their fixture with Highwood postponed, as a result Willclare Sports and Social have joined them on 20 points following their 6-3 win at Shannons, however, they have now played one more game than the leaders.

A 2-1 win over Dave Watkins plus a straight 3-0 success against Andy Cresswell has given Jim Norris a total of 40 and maintains his number one spot in the Grange Sunday Night 301 Charity League. Jim’s nearest rival is Matt Cooper who beat Mike Forsythe 3-0 and Noreen Harris 2-1, leaving him five points adrift of Norris with a game in hand. A further five points behind Cooper is Eddie Kennedy, he has played one game fewer than Cooper and two less than Norris.
Julian Harris was in top form in his tie with Warren Jones hitting 100,125 and a maximum as well as recording an eight darts leg. Julian leads the shadow league on 9 points, two more than Luke Coles who is in second place.

The division one fixture between Sutton Sports and Hill Social in the Four Oaks and District League was a real Christmas cracker. Playing at Sutton Sports, Hill Social worked their way up to a 4-1 advantage. With exceptional darts from M.Kane (120break, 137, 100, 136 finish) and R.Hawker (148 break, 108 break, 140, 6×100) Sutton pulled the scoreline back to level terms, 4-4. In the final leg of the final game T.Vickers (Hill Social) required 102, he hit single twenty, the bull and brushed the double 16 wire to miss his outshot, his opponent R.Hawker then stepped up to the board and found double twenty for his teams 5-4 victory and keep them at the top of the table on 16 points, four more than second placed Sportsmans Rest.
A.Kimberley (Deer’s Leap) was in top form recording 120 break, 139, 105 break, 100, 103 break and an eight darts leg as his side beat Old Oscott WMC 6-3.
It’s as you were in division two as all of the top five teams chalked up wins. Oscott Social remain in the number one position on 16 points, beating Pint Pot Flights 5-4, while Old Oscott Arrows and Bromford Lions are two points adrift after respective wins against Deer’s Leap Flights and Royal Oak Ruffians. The Fox are fourth on 12 points and Aston Fifth with 10 points.
