Week three and Mark Birch continues to set the pace in the Brook Meadow Individual Double Top League. There were mixed fortunes for Birch this week as he lost his first game against Mathew Gallett 2-1 and then beat Terry Clay 3-0 giving him a total of 25 points, three more than his nearest rival Ian McFarlane who chalked up two 2-1 wins over John Burdett and Ross Macken. McFarlane on 22 points has only played five fixtures and his game in hand on Birch could see him take over pole position.

Newcomer Clive Checketts registered his first win in his inaugural game against Jason Evans, he won 2-1. Other players registering their first win of the campaign this week were Keith Kelly and Terry Blakemore.
