The Brook Meadow Individual Double Top League has got its new season off to a good start but that is certainly not the case for reigning champion Trevor Frost. Frost began his defence of the title with a 3-0 victory over Adam Gallett, but it then went downhill for the title holder. Ian McFarlane started a trio of 2-1 defeats for Frost, next in line was John Burdett and making up the three was Jason Evans.

Mark Birch is the early pacesetter with four wins against Mark Elkin, Keith Kelly, Jason Evans and Martin Cooper. Birch is just one point ahead of Gordon Clinton who has also won all four fixtures. The only other undefeated player in the league is Ian McFarlane who has so far only played two fixtures.

Kicking off the campaign with maximums were, Gordon Clinton, Mark Birch (2), John Burdett (2), Jason Evans, Trevor Frost (3) and Adam Gallett.
