Ian McFarlane is looking all set to hang on to the Brook Meadow Individual League title he won last season. In his most recent fixtures he recorded 2-1 victories over Martin Cooper and Carl Winters and found the big scores in both games. Against Cooper he hit 140,4×123 and 5×100 and then in his game with Winters recorded shots of 180,140,123 plus 3×100.
Jason Evans is currently second to McFarlane on 136 points, some fourteen adrift of the leader, but with two games in hand. Evans had a 3-0 success over Sean Lysaght followed by a 2-1 win against Bendan Lysaght.
Dave Elliott, Brendan Lysaght, Keith Kelly, Bill Cadby, Colin Farrington and Carl Winters all hit a maximum.

The Knockout Cup was on the fixture list for the Harborne and District Winter League and the twelve participating teams played off at the Midland Red. In the quarter finals third placed division one team George, had a surprisingly easy 5-0 win over Midland Red, who were second in the table. In the all second division clash bottom but one team Hillyfields beat second placed Stonehouse 5-3.
The semi finals went as expected with division one leaders Smethwick Labour Club running out 5-3 winners over the Raven and George beating their division two opponents Hillyfields 5-1.
The final produced another shock when the George claimed the title with a massive 5-1 victory over Smethwick Labour Club.

The Sheldon and District Winter League singles trophy has been won by Olton RBL representative Bob Nixon. To clinch the title Bob defeated Banbury Club’s Neil Parsonage in the final. Losing semi finalists were Tony Randell (Saltley Amateur Gardeners) and Andy Hutchings (Olton RBL).
Tomorrow evening the league will be staging the finals of their Divisional Cup. The premier division has one outstanding semi final between Olton RBL and Brook Meadow which will be played off at 8-15pm at Lea Hall Sports and Social and the winners will then take on Saltley Amateur Gardeners.
The division one final will be staged at Willclare Sports and Social and will be contested by RAFA and Stechford Social. Yardley Ex Flights and Farringdon Social will do battle for the division two title and will play off at Sheldon Social.

The Pip Club League has played their division one cup down to the final. Winning through from the quarter finals were, White Lion, Globe, Dolphin and Red Lion ’A’. In the semi’s the Globe beat White Lion and in the final on the 21st June the Dolphin, who defeated Red Lion ’A’ will provide their opposition.
Tomorrow night the division two league cup play off will be staged at the Belgrave Club. The draw is Glascote Club v Wigginton, Winning Post v Royal Oak (Kingsbury), Red Lion ’B’ v Two Gates Club, Boot Inn v Red Lion (Polesworth).
