In division one of the Harborne and District 401 Summer League leaders Midland Red maintained their 100% winning record, making it six wins in a row when on their home board they beat third in the table Bartley Green Football Club 6-3 and in the process opened a four points gap between the two teams. Second placed George also played at home and recorded a similar 6-3 win against their counterparts Quinton Members Club. On the ball for the George were D.Simpson and A.Powell who both chalked maximum scores of 180. The George remain two points adrift of Midland Red. Quinton Members Club Flights still have the unenviable record of being the only team in the division without a win so far as they once again slumped at home to a 7-2 defeat at the hands of Smethwick Labour Club’s team.
In division two Raven’s T. Hamilton was in top scoring form hitting 121,7×100 and registering a 112 break, J.Hands was not far behind as he had a 120 break plus 116 and 4×100, however, despite all the tons it was not enough to avoid a very close 5-4 reversal as they played hosts to divisional leaders Harborne Stores, who made it five wins in as many games. Only one other match was played in the second division in which Stonehouse Flights had a great 7-2 victory over Hillyfields, the result seeing Stonehouse leap frog over their opponents in the table.
