Although a narrow 19-17, win away to Warwickshire, it was enough for Yorkshire to hold on to pole position in the premier division of the UKDA National League with a total of fifty-five points from their opening two games. With Essex having a bye, they have dropped down to sixth with twenty-two points and have been replaced in the number two spot by West Midlands, after they returned from Suffolk on the back of a convincing 23-13 victory to put them on forty-five points, ten short of the leaders. Lancashire were somewhat surprisingly held to an 18-18 draw away to Dorset, and as a result are currently lying in a very unusual bottom of the table position, however they have only played one fixture so far, as have Warwickshire just above them, Lancashire are on fifteen points and Warwickshire have seventeen.
