The Sutton and District League had their singles knockout finals on the fixture card which were staged at the Walmley Sports and Cricket Club, and making their exits in the quarter-finals were, B.Cadby (Charley’s Flights), N.Clarke (Bishop Vesey), J.Grainger (Nomads @ Hollyfields) and S.Caswell (Plough and Arrows).
Both of the last four games finished with a straight 2-0 result, S.Abbott (Bishop Vesey) accounting for C.Reilly (Sutton Sports) and C.Day winning against fellow Rise Club player O.Day.
The final was extended to the best of five legs which went the full distance with C.Day just getting the 3-2 edge on S.Abbott.

Only a handful of fixtures are now outstanding in the Sheldon and District Summer League, however all five groups have found their champions. In group one, Raven Arrows, with maximums from both Zac Prince and Will Naylor won their home game with Highwood 6-2 to put them on fourteen points with one more game to play. Second placed Langley Arrows had a bye and although they too have one fixture remaining, they are three points short of Raven Arrows so the title goes to Raven. At the other end of the table Dog Inn Nomads went through the eight match season without a single win or point.
In group two, Kingshurst Labour Club had a final 7-1 win at RAFA to take their points tally for the season to sixteen, second placed Sheldon Marlborough Arrows were held to a 4-4 draw at home by RAFA Arrows and although they still have one more fixture to play, they are four points behind the champions Kingshurst Labour Club.
There were maximums for Sam Hicks (RAFA) and Stephen Shepherd (Kingshurst labour Club).
Group three have completed all of their fixtures and taking the title with fourteen points is Lyndon Old Boys with Raven runners-up, finishing just one point behind Lyndon.
Leaders of group four, Langley Pints, were surprisingly held to a 4-4 draw at home by bottom of the group Raven Flights. However it was enough to clinch the title as despite second placed Maggies winning their home tie with CBMC-A 6-2 it only put them on the same thirteen points as Langley Pints and Langley have the better average and still have one more game to play.
Like group four, group five have also complsted all of their fixtures and a 7-1 home win over Langley Bulletts sees Yardley District Amateur Darts Team finish top of the table with sixteen points, one more than runners-up Castle Bromwich Spitfires whose last game saw them draw 4-4 at home with bottom of the group Trident Flights.

With games now fast running out in the Heartlands Sugardarts M&E Co Double Top League, defeats could prove to be very costly. Current leader Matthew Cain took his points to 142 from fifty-five games and has seven more to play after wins over Sophie Cain 3-0, including a maximum and Sophie Cain 2-1. Matthew Cain has a fifteen points lead on second and third placed Steve Cain and Martin Cooper, plus four games in hand on Steve Cain but has played two games more than Martin Cooper. Fourth in the league John Burdett could climb further up the table as he is on 110 points but has only played fifty-one games and has games in hand on all of the three players above him. In his 3-0 win over Roxy Bennet, Ramone Stevens recorded 160 break.

For the Harborne and District League, it was cup semi-finals week and in the League Cup, league leaders Copper Fox ‘R’ took on seventh placed Bournville and won 4-3. From the other side of the draw, fourth in the league Smethwick Cricket Club lost 5-2 to third placed Northfield Darts Club.
In the last four games of the Consolation Cup, despite a maximum from P.Hughes, Lion Bar lost 5-2 to Northfield Conservative Club and joining the Conservative Club in the final will be Weoley Caslte Pub after they won 4-3 against Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club.

The South West Birmingham Clubs league are up to game ten of their fourteen match season and leading the way in division one is Stirchley United whose latest 5-2 win at West Heath CEM has seen them amass a total of sixteen points, two more than second placed Northfield Darts Club who also won 5-2 at home against Quarry Lane Club. A further two points adrift are third and fourth placed Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club and West Heaath CEM, Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club losing ground as they lost 4-3 at Northfield Conservative Club ‘B’. There were maximums from K.Webb (Stirchley United) and T.Taylor (Northfield Conservative Club ‘B’).
In the division one pre-match doubles Northfield Darts Club lead the way with 119 points with Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club second on 108 points.
E57 top division two, although they lost 4-3 playing away against third placed Bartley Green FC they still have a two points lead on second placed Northfield Conservative Club ‘A’ who also lost, going down 5-2 at Kings Norton Arrows.
In addition to leading the division two table, E57 also top the division two pre-match doubles table with 104 points and have a lead of fourteen points over their nearest rivals Longbridge Warriors.

A 5-2 home win over Cotterills Lane EBAHA Club sees Wakefield Warriors take their undefeated run to four games in the Camp Hill League, they are the only team in the ten teams line-up that have not lost a game after the opening four fixtures. With a total of eight points Wakefield Warriors have a two points lead over GGSB, Big Bulls Wanders and Moseley Arms. GGSB lost for the first time going down 4-3 at Bull Ring Tavern while Big Bulls Wanderers won 5-2 at Sheldon Marlborough Devils. It was a first time defeat for Moseley Arms as they lost by the same 5-2 margin in their fixture at Shannons Rebels. Rosey Mac’s and Sheldon Marlborough Devils are the only teams in the league without a win so far.

Played eighteen, won eighteen, that’s the record for Bell in division one of the Rowley Monday Night League. Bell’s latest conquest was a 6-3 win at Snooks taking their number of points to thirty-six and giving them a four points advantage over second placed Gate Hangs Well who had a similar 6-3 win at home over Hawthorns, and although they are only four points behind Bell, they have played one game more than them.
In division two Bostin Darts ‘B’ lead the way with thirty-six points, their most recent fixture seeing them win 6-3 at Waterfall, second in the division Double Tops Micro Bar went one better with a 7-2 success at Bostin Darts ‘C’, leaving them six points short of the leaders and six points to the good on third placed Boston Darts ‘C’.
On the individual scene there were 160 breaks for S.Slim (Wheatsheaf), J.Gibbs (Albion and L.Poultney (Coombes Wood, M.Crumpton (Whiteheath Tavern) scored a maximum.

It was cup quarter-finals week in the Stourbridge and District Monday Night League. Old Liberal Club are currently top of the league, won 5-2 against Five Ways while second in the league, Gornal British Legion handed out a 7-0 whitewash to their opponents, Bird in Hand who are placed fifth. Third placed Cross, had a convincing 6-1 win against Bull and Bladder and making up the four teams for the semi-finals will be Mount Pleasant ‘B’ after their 4-3 win over Raven 4-3.

The Stourbridge and District Wednesday Night League are up to week nine and there are four teams at the top of the table all on fourteen points. Raven, who have played nine games top the table on average despite going down 5-2 at Hollybush. Old Liberal Club ‘A’, Stourbridge FC ‘A’ and Ashwood have all played eight games and in turn had results of a 5-2 home win against Beech Treee Miners, a 4-3 win at Ten Arches and a 4-3 win at Five Ways. After the top four there are another four teams, all on twelve points, and they are Chop House, Stourbridge FC Youth, Swan and Beech Tree Miners.

Leaders of the Netherton Thursday Night 501 League, Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ took on third placed Old Liberal Club in the final of the League Cup and ran out the emphatic 5-1 victors. Jeff Batham notched a maximum for Old Liberal Club.
One outstanding rearranged league fixture was played which saw second placed Ashwood play hosts to Furnace who are two places off the foot of the table. The result was an -1 win for Ashwood and saw no change in the league table. There was a maximum score for both sides, Chris Moreton for Ashwood and Liam Moore for Furnace.

Results from week five in the Black Country Men’s Super League brought about no changes in the top four positions, Hot Shots holding on to pole position with a 5-0 home win over Lamp Tavern, Cue and Brew are second, they also had a 5-0 home win against Townsend Social to leave them just one point short of Hot Shots. A 3-2 home win over Samba Darts Academy leaves Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club third with seventeen points, six fewer than the leaders and Double Tops Micro Bar fourth, also on seventeen points, after their defeat.

As early as week three in the West Midlands Ladies Super League and only five of the ladies line-up in week one are able to boast a 100% win record. Evonne Taylor had a 3-0 wins over Jacqueline Maiden and Lauren Herrington to put her top of the league table with twelve points, Jacqueline Maiden on the same twelve points but from four games in second place after following up her loss to Taylor with a 3-1 win over Jade Wellings. Claire Hobbs is third, her 3-0 defeat by Tara Fullwood seeing her drop from the number one spot with nine points. Then, come three players all on eight points from two games, Gemma Barrett, Shellbie Guest and Kelly Aston-Fletcher.

A 4-3 home win over Chase Social sees Staffordshire Knot remain top of the West Midlands Men’s Super League with 153 points from thirty games. Second placed Kings Head lost a little ground, only winning their home tie with third placed Dog and Partridge 3-2, Kings Head now on 137 points and Dog and Dog and Partridge having 121 points, both teams having one game in hand on the leaders.

A 6-1 win over Jon Underhill and Rhys Cox sees leader Jason Lowe take his points tally to 339 from forty-nine games in the Amblecote RBL Premier League. Second placed Ian Townsend has one game in hand on Lowe but trails him by some fifty-seven points after he beat Matt Davies 5-2 and Andy Vellender 6-1.Third placed Nick Fullwell has one game in hand on Townsend and two in hand on Lowe, he trails Townsend by one point and Lowe by fifty-eight. Fullwell’s latest games saw him win 6-1 against Cadden Marsh and 5-2 against Jake Shipley.

Scott Baker made it 179 points from twenty-one games in division one of the Gilbert’s Bar Monday Night Singles League, still topping the table following his 5-3 win over Dave Rich. Simon Pritchard is second, he has 170 points but has played four more games than Baker and although third placed Chris Manoila has a game in hand on Pritchard, he has ten fewer points.
Wayne Barratt leads the way in division two, his 7-1 win over Alfie Warrender taking his points to 200 from twenty-six games. Second in the division Matt Ford, lost ground and fell eleven points behind Barratt after he lost 5-3 to Dean Showell, who is third and now only four points behind Ford with two games in hand.
