Raven gained what could be a title winning result in group one of the Sheldon and District Summer League when they won 6-2 at Langley Arrows, as they have replaced their opponents in the number one spot in group one and now only require two points from their last two games to seal the title, whereas Langley Arrows, who have eleven points, one fewer than Raven Arrows, only have one more fixture to play and will probably finish as runners-up. The fixture produced two maximum both for Raven, from Alan Mayell and Jason Prince. Bottom of the group Dog Inn Nomads are the only team in the league without a win or a point.
No change in the top two places in group two, Kingshurst Labour Club, with a maximum from Stephen Shepherd, winning 6-2 at home over second placed Sheldon Marlborough Ridge to leave them with a three points lead over their opponents with one more fixture to play. Sheldon Marlborough Ridge have two remaining games, but they trail Kingshurst by three points and a large average deficiency
In group three the top two teams, Lyndon Old Boys and Raven, squared up to each other in what is their penultimate fixture. The result was a huge 6-2 win for the home side Raven to put them both on twelve points with just one leg of average separating them, and with only one more fixture to play, the title doesn’t come much closer than that. It will all come down to who wins and by how how-big their result is. There were 180’s for Adam McSwiggan (Arran Way Arrows) and Craig Stansfield (Lyndon Old Boys).
Any one of three teams could lift the group four title, current leaders Maggies won 5-3 at Raven Flights to give them eleven points with two games to play, second placed Langley Pints had their fixture with Shirley Misfits postponed, they are on ten points with three games to play, and making up the top trio is CBMC-A, their 6-2 home win over Station Inn taking their points tally to ten and they have one more game to play
Again in group five the title is not decided. Leaders Yardley District Amateur Darts team won 7-1 at Trident Flights to take their points up to fourteen with one more fixture to play, second placed Castle Bromwich Spitfires were supposed to be playing away against Mackadown Sports and Social Club ‘B’ but the game was postponed and they now are one point behind Yardley with two remaining fixtures.

Copper Fox ‘R’ made it twenty-three wins in twenty-four games in the Harborne and District League when they had a somewhat surprisingly narrow 5-4 win at Crown, who are just two places off the foot of the table. Nevertheless, a win is a win and it took their number of points to forty-six. Second placed Northfield Conservative Club are on the same forty-six points as the leaders after they won by the same 5-4 margin at Thimble Mill, however, the Conservative Club have now played two games more than Copper Fox ‘R’. With no result this week for Northfield Darts Club, they drop from second to third place, two points short of the two teams above them but with two games in hand on Northfield Conservative Club.
Seven maximums this week, coming from G.Bolton (Stag and Three Horseshoes), S.Sheridan (Smethwick Cricket Club), P.Garvey and K.Webb (Bourneville), A.Beagrie (Thimble Mill) D.Hill (Northfield Conservative Club) and W.Hands ((Crown). D.Hill also had a 160 break and R.Crawford (Crown) a 167 finish.

Once again, for the second consecutive week in the Camp Hill League, there were wins for the top five teams and losses for the bottom five teams. Big Bulls Wanders made it two wins from two games when they won 4-3 at Shannons Rebels, however it was not enough to keep them top of the table as Wakefield Warriors made it 7-0 wins for both of their opening two games when they defeated Sheldon Marlborough Devils, putting them top of the table on average from Big Bulls Wanderers, Cotterills Lane EBAHA Club and GGSB who are all on the same four points and all have the same average.Fifth placed Moseley Arms, like the four teams above them, are also on four points but trail on average after they had a close 4-3 win at Rosey Mac’s.

Steve Cain didn’t play this week in the Heartlands Sugardarts M&E Co Double Top League, and as a result has been ousted from his number one perch. Taking over in pole position is Matthew Cain whose 3-0 win over Brian Meer and 2-1 wins against John Yates and Stuart Bloomer, give him a total of 138 points from fifty-three games and a lead of five points over Steve Cain plus a further eight games in hand. Third placed martin Cooper also has eight games in hand on Steve Cain and is only six points behind him after adding on his latest results which were a 2-1 win over Roxy Bennett and a 3-0 win against Logan Swords.
Stuart Bloomer hit the only maximum of the week in his 3-0 defeat to Alex Downes.

The South West Birmingham Clubs League are up to game nine of their season and leading division one is Stirchley United who suffered a 4-3 defeat away to Northfield Darts Club, however they remain top of the division with fourteen points, two more than their second placed rivals. Third and fourth placed Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club and West Heath CEM are also on the same twelve points as Northfield Darts Club after in turn the Ex Serviceman’s Club lost 4-3 at Quarry Lane Club and West Heath won 5-2 at home against Perfection.
In division two, E57 lead the way with sixteen points after their latest 5-2 win at Stirchley Arrows. Northfield Conservative Club ‘A’ are second, they are on fourteen points after winning their latest game away to Longbridge Warriors 4-3. Third in the division Kings Norton Arrows are six points off the top and four behind Northfield Conservative Club ‘A’ but with two games in hand. There most recent fixture seeing them win 6-1 at home over Longbridge Arrows.
In the division one pre-match doubles league, Northfield Darts Club are top with 103 points and have a lead of eight over second placed Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club.
E57 top the division two pre-match doubles table with ninety-five points, a huge seventeen points more than their nearest rivals Longbridge Warriors.

With all of the division one fixtures completed in the Sutton and District League, division two are still winding down their season, however the majority of teams have now also finished their campaigns but there are a couple of games remaining that will decide who finish as champions. Great Barr Social are current leaders with forty-four points and Rise Club second with the same forty-four points, Great Barr having the superior average but a loss in their final game and a win for Rise would see them swap places, however if both teams win the title would go to Great Barr Social.
The division two Shadow league has been won by Sutton Sharks, their sixteen points are four more than runners-up Rosey Mac’s Bar.

Bell took their undefeated run in the Rowley Monday Night League, to sixteen games when they won their home tie with Gate Hangs Well 8-1, a vital win as their visitors are in second place, and now trail their hosts by four points and have a game in hand too. Third and fourth in the division, Wonder and Tividale FC are massive fourteen points behind Bell. T.Brennan had a 160 break for Bell.
The lead in division two goes to Bostin Darts ‘B’, their latest 5-4 home win over Spring Meadow taking their points to thirty-two from seventeen games, with a lead of eight over second placed Double Tops Micro Bar who won 7-2 at home against Waterfall. Shelter’s J.Bland scored a maximum in his team’s 6-3 home loss to Bostin Darts ‘C’.

Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ continue to dominate the Netherton Thursday Night 501 League, a 7-2 home win over Gate Hangs Well making it twenty-one straight wins with an eight points advantage over second placed Old Liberal Club who have one game in hand after playing and winning 8-1 at home against Rose and Crown, Halesowen. Third placed Ashwood have the same fifty-one points as Old Liberal Club and have three games in hand on the leaders and two on Old Liberal Club as their latest fixture with Furnace was postponed.
Four players found the three treble twenties this week and they were, Steve Hall (Old Liberal Club), Darren Hadlington (Haden Cross), Grant Jackson (Bulls Head) and Carl Hadlington (Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’).

Played twenty-one, won twenty-one, that’s the record for Old Liberal Club in the Stourbridge and District Monday Night League. In their latest outing Old Liberal Club won 6-1 at home against Glasscutters Arms ‘B’, but despite their fine record they still only have a two points lead on second placed Gornal British Legion who added a 4-3 win at Seven Stars to their tally. After second place there is a gap of six points to Cross, Five Ways and Bird in Hand, Cross winning 6-1 at Bull and Bladder, Five Ways winning 7-0 at home over High Acres and Bird in Hand having a 6-1 win at Glasscutters Arms ‘A’. Five Ways player R.Jones had a 160 break.

Raven’s 4-3 home win over Chop House in the Stourbridge and District Wednesday Night League gives them a total of fourteen point, two more than Old Liberal Club ‘A’, Stourbridge FC ‘A’, Beech Tree Miners and Ashwood, with Old Liberal Club ‘A’, Stourbridge FC ‘A’ and Ashwood having a game in hand on the leaders. A further two points adrift with ten points are, Chop House, Plough, Bird in Hand ‘E’, Stourbridge FC Youth and Swan.

Leaders of the West Midlands Men’s Super League, Staffordshire Knot suffered a 3-2 defeat this week away to third placed Dog and Partridge who have reduced the arrears on the leaders to what is still a huge thirty-four points. Second placed Kings Head also went down by the same 3-2 margin at Samba Social, but they still have a lead of seventeen points on Dog and Partridge.

Of the seventeen starters to the Black Country Men’s Super League, after week four only three remain undefeated. Leaders Cue and brew won 5-0 at home over Soccer Zone, while second placed Hot Shots had a closer 4-1 home win against Townsend Social to give them a total of twenty-four points, just one short of Cue and Brew. The only other 100% win team is seventh placed Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club who have only played two games so far.

There is no stopping Jason Lowe in the Amblecote RBL Premier League, his latest fixtures saw him win 7-0 against Stephen Cartwright and 5-2 against Caden Marsh to give him 325 points from his forty-seven games. Second in the league Ian Townsend, began with a 4-3 win over Craig Slater and then by the same 4-3 margin lose to third in the league Nick Fullwell, who is now just one point behind Townsend with a game in hand after he had a 5-2 win over Ryan Hardman. Fourth placed Paul Wells has only played thirty-nine games, he has eight in hand on Lowe, seven on Townsend and six on Fullwell. On the night Paul Wells kicked off with a 7-0 win against Craig Lowin, he then won 5-2 against Joe Woodhouse and rounded off the evening with another 7-0 success over Chris Pickett to put him on 240 points.
