Warwickshire County Darts Organisation’s fifth fixture in the premier division of the UKDA National League was an away game against Suffolk at the Kesgrave Social Club, Edmonton Rd, Kesgrave, Ipswich, Suffolk. IP5 1EE, their hosts going into the game lying second in the division with 107 points and Warwickshire eighth on seventy-eight points but having played one game fewer than Suffolk.
Saturday’s games saw the ladies ‘B’ finish all-square at 3-3 with Kacie O’Connor taking the match award for her 3-1 win over Jean Prewitt and 18.73 average. The men’s ‘B’ chalked up a 7-5 win with William Naylor their top player beating Andrew Craine 4-3 and averaging 26.63.
Going into Sunday’s ‘A’ games, Warwickshire were holding a 10-8 lead and taking that lead to 14-10 were the ladies ‘A’ with their 4-2 victory. Lady of the match for the ‘A’ ladies was Macy Gibbons who had a top average of 23.86 in her straight 3-0 win over Ruby Grey. For the men’s ‘A’ it was a weekend to forget as they slumped to a huge 10-2 defeat with only Wayne Mynard and Noel Grant winning, Grant taking the man of the match award for his 4-1 win against Ben Poulton and 28.98 average.
The overall result for the weekend was a 20-16 win for Suffolk who remain second in the division with 130 points, eighteen short of leaders Lancashire and Warwickshire, despite the defeat move up one place to seventh with ninety-four points and a game in hand on four of the six teams above them.

In the Andy Wheeler Fisheries Championship Division of the UKDA National League, West Midlands travelled down to Oxfordshire, the home side residing at the foot of the table with sixty-seven points from four games while West Midlands were third on ninety-six points from the same four games.
What better way to start the weekend than with a straight 6-0 win for the ladies ‘B’ with wins from Hannah Davies, Kelly Aston, Tara Fullwood, Jade Wellings, Katherine Jenkins and Shellbie Guest. The match award went to opener Hannah Davies for her 17.59 average in a 3-1 win over Emma Manning, the men’s ‘B’ took the overall lead for Saturday to 12-6 after finishing level at 6-6 with their counterparts. Picking up the match award was Kieran O’Mahoney for his 4-1 success against Andrew Quinn.
The ladies ‘A’ had a 4-2 win, their top player being Gemma Barrett, who won 3-2 against Sue Burns and averaged 20.31. Making it three out of four wins for the weekend were the men’s ‘A’, their 7-5 victory giving an overall 23-13 win for the Midlanders. With a super 32.85 average, Richard Platt was man of the match, he had a convincing 4-0 win over Daniel Smith.
The win saw West Midlands move up one place to second with 122 points, just nine points short of leaders Hampshire with a game in hand.

The Sheldon and District Winter League had the preliminary round of their Sheldon Shield on their fixture card in which there were just three games played. RAFA Arrows chalked up the biggest win of the round, a 6-1 success at Hunters Moon while the other two games finished with close 4-3 results going in favour of Moseley Rugby Club and CBMC-A, who in turn took out Kingshurst Labour Club and Shirley Misfits.
Being as it was cup week and not all of the teams were involved, it was an opportunity to play some rearranged fixtures, there were two played in the premier league, Langley Arrows wining 6-3 at home against Highwood to replace them at the top of the table with the same sixteen points but with a superior average, although Highwood who are now second, have played one game fewer than the new leaders. In the other game played Smithswood Social Club lost 5-4 at home to Mackadow Sports and Social Club.
The one division one game had no bearing on the league positins with Station Inn losing 8-1 at home to Sheldon Marlborough Ridge.
Three division two games were played in which Raven Flights won 7-2 at Castle Bromwich Spitfires, divisional leaders Langley Pints won 6-3 at home against Digby and Maggies won their game at Hollywood Social Club 5-4.

Week three in the Heartlands Sugardarts M&E Co Double Top League produced a new leader, former leader Clive Austin began the night with a 2-1 win over Logan Swords and then beat John Yates by the same margin but it was not enough to maintain pole position as Ryan Cain beat Tony Pedley and Andrew Richmond 3-0 to give him a total of fourteen points, two more than second placed Austin. Fourteen year old Sophie Cain continues her promising start to the season making it five wins from five games with her 3-0 win over Matt Richmond and 2-1 success against Adam Rogers to take her up into third place with twelve points, just two behind the leader. In her 3-0 win over Stephen Smith, Roxy Bennett recorded a 160 break.

Results from game eleven in the Sutton and District League had no effect on the top eight places in division one with leaders Highcroft Hotdogs adding a 6-3 home win over Walmley CSC Flights to make it eleven straight wins and giving them a four point’s lead on second and third placed Nomads @ Hollyfields and Bishop Vesey who in turn accounted for Old Oscott Arrows (6-3) and Drakes Drum (8-1). Fourth and fifth placed Old Horns Lions and Erdington Arrows are both on fourteen points, eight off the top of the table.
Division one provided all of the individual achievements this week with maximums from Martin Partridge (Bishop Vesey), Jack Cox (Rosey Mac’s) and M.Maher (Nomads @ Hollyfields) and there were 160 breaks for Chris Sammons (Bishop Vesey) and Tim Vickers (St Thomas Lions).
In division two, Rise Club are the only undefeated team, riding high at the top of the table with a perfect twenty-two points from their eleven games, the latest of which saw them win 5-4 at home against Hollyfields. Second placed Plough and Arrows lost for the second time in eleven games when they went down 5-4 at Great Barr Social, third placed Pint Pot Flights reducing the gap on Plough and Arrows to just two points with their 5-4 win at Sutton Sharks. Fourth, fifth and sixth placed Hollyfields, Great Barr Social and Deer’s Leap are all on the same sixteen points as Pint Pot Flights.

Although Northfield Darts Club had a bye in division one of the South West Birmingham Clubs League, they remain top of the table with eight points from five games. Northfield Conservative Club ‘B’ lost second place when they were held to a 4-4 draw at Quarry Lane Club and taking over in the number two spot is Stirchley United who had a 6-2 home win over Perfection to put them on the same seven points as Northfield Conservative Club ‘B’ but with an average lead plus a game in hand on them, they also have a game in hand on the leaders.
Despite losing 5-3 at Northfield Conservative Club ‘A’, West Heath CEM hold on to pole position in division two with eight points, but they only have a slender one leg of average lead on second placed Bartley Green FC. Third and fourth placed Kings Norton Arrows and E57 are both on seven points, just one off the top of the table.

Old Liberal Club consolidated their pole position in the Netherton Thursday Night 501 League by handing out a 9-0 whitewash to their visiting team Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘B’ to make it four wins in four games. Second and third placed Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ and British Oak have also won their opening four games and in turn won 7-2 at Hawthorns and Netherton Sports and Social Club. Fourth in the league Bulls Head had a narrow 5-4 home win over Gate Hangs Well to put them also on twelve points but they have played five games.
There were 180’s this week for Jeff Batham, George Willetts (Old Liberal Club), Brian Neale (Bulls Head) and Dave Edwards (British Oak).

The Sedgley and Gornal Tuesday Night League are two games into the second half of their season and Quarry Bank liberal Club lead the way with forty points from their twenty-one games. In the latest round of fixtures the leaders had a comfortable 7-2 win at Royal to keep them fur points ahead of their nearest rivals Red Cow ‘1’ and Netherton Sports and Social Club who in turn won 7-2 at home over Mill and 8-1 at British Oak. Gornal British Legion won their home tie with New Inn 7-2 to put them fourth in the league six points short of the leaders.

With the majority of teams in the Silver End Sunday Morning League having four more games to play, leaders Old Star already have one hand on the winners Silverware, their latest 6-2 home win over Brier Rose keeping them six points clear at the top of the table. Second placed Dudley Sports ‘A’ lost ground as they were held to a 4-4 draw away against High Acres ‘A’ who are third in the table twelve points behind their opponents.

Most of the teams in the Brierley Hill Monday Night League have two games to play to the midway point of the season and only two points separate the top three teams. Topping the table with thirty-four points is Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’, in the their most recent fixture they won 8-1 away against bottom of the table Tipton Sports and Social Club. Second and third Lamp Tavern and Raven are both just two points behind the leaders, Lamp Tavern having an 8-1 win at Stourbridge Cricket Club while Raven won 5-4 at Tommy Turners. Although four points off the top of the table fourth placed Bridge were 5-4 winners at Little Barrel, they have only played seventeen games, wins in their two outstanding fixtures would see them join Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ at the to of the table on the same number of points.

Is any team going to catch Chop House in the Stourbridge and District Wednesday Night League, their latest fixture saw them win 7-2 at home against Old Liberal Club ‘B’ to keep them six points to the good on Hollybush and New Inns, who in turn won 5-2 at Five Ways and 6-1 at home against Stourbridge FC ‘B’. Bird in Hand ‘E’ and Swan are respectivelt fourth and fifth in the league, both eight points behind the leaders after Bird in Hand ‘E’ won 6-1 at Netherton Conservative Club and Swan had a 5-2 win at Ashwood.

Tividale Sports extended their undefeated run in the John Edwards Thursday Night League to ten games when they won 7-2 at home against Smethwick Cricket Club. Hot on the heels of the leaders are second and third placed Whiteheath Tavern and Wonder, Whiteheath handing out a 9-0 whitewash to their visitors Oldbury British Legion and Wonder winning their home game with Brandhall Labour Club 8-1. With the league up to week eleven there are still two teams without a win so far, Brandhall Labour Club and Navigation, the former having played ten games and the latter eleven.

The results from game fifteen in the Black Country Ladies Super League had no effect on the league standings as leaders Allen’s Bar ‘A’ won 3-2 against Allen’s Bar ‘C’ and second placed Allen’s Bar ‘B’ won 4-1 against Allen’s Bar ‘D’. The leaders are on forty-seven points with a three points advantage over their nearest rivals and ‘B’ side.

Third placed Dog and Partridge are on the same eight points as Kings Head after they won 3-2 at home against Staffordshire Knot.

Two points is the difference between the top four players in the Amblecote RBL Premier League, after completing week three fixtures. Reigning champion Jason Lowe heads the table with forty-three points after adding his latest 6-1 wins over Steve Gillam and Grant Jackson. A former winner of the league, Nick Fullwell is level on points with Lowe, his recent fixtures seeing hime win 6-1 against Robbie Hipkiss and 7-0 against Mark Nassralla. Third and fourth in the league Spike Green and Kian Rogers are both on forty-one points, only two behind the top twoplayers.

In the Gilbert’s Bar MondayNight Singles League, Simon Pritchard and Michele Pritchard in turn lead the division one and division two tabels. Simon’s latest fixture saw him win 7-1 against Artur Lubkowski to put him on thirty-five points which gives him a lead of two over second placed, and reigning champion Scott Baker who beat Dave Rich 5-3.
In the second division, Michele was held to a 4-4 draw by Dean Showell, but despite that her thirty-two points are five more than second and third placed Charlie Baker and Wayne Barratt.

Week twenty-three in the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League and the results for the week had no effeect on the top five places in the singles league, Junction ‘B’ holding on to the number one spot with forty-six points after winning the local derby with their ‘A’ side 6-1. Dog and Partridge ‘B’ are second, four points short of the leaders after they also won 6-1 at home against Gilbert’s Bar ‘B’.
As in the singles league, there is no change in the top five places in the doubles league with Golden Lion ‘A’ adding a 3-0 home win over Dog and Partridge ‘A’ to their tally to keep them top of the table with thirty-eight points, two more than second placed New Gate Inn who also won 3-0 at home against Wheatsheaf.
