A maximum from Paul Norris helped third placed Highwood to a 6-3 win over Sheldon Heath Social Flights in the Forest of Arden Winter League, while the fixture between Hobs Meadow Mixes and Harvester produced two 160 breaks, one for the 5-4 winners, J.Zimmerman (Hobs Meadow Mixes) and the other for Harvester’s T.Price.
Leaders Highwood Arrows had a comfortable 8-1 win over the Glades. Red Arrows and Hobs Meadow both recorded 7-2 win’s over respective opponents Farringdon Social and Cock and Hens.

Midland Red drew level on six points with the Raven at the top of division one of the Harborne and District Summer League, thanks to their close 5-4 win at the George. A. Stevens chalked up a 160 break for the George. M.Turner (Hillyfields) scored a 180 in his side’s 5-4 home win over Ladywood Social.
In division two leaders Smethwick Labour Club stretched their unbeaten run to three games when they defeated Hobsons Choice 5-4 to keep them in pole position, but only on average from Avenue Social who beat the Cock Inn 6-4.
A 160 break by S.Porter was not enough for his team, Bartley Green Social Flights to avoid a 7-2 defeat at the hands of top team Harborne Stores, a scoreline which was imitated by both Highlander Flights and Coopers Arms in their victories over Stonehouse and Greenlands Social.

In the Camp Hill and District League Shannons made it three wins in a row when they beat Red Lion 6-3. Gunmakers, who also won 6-3 in their fixture with the Antelope are second in the table with four points, two adrift of the leaders.

Two Small Heath league teams, Brewer and Baker and the Antelope, staged a friendly at the former team’s venue, but it was the visitors who won the game 5-4. Following the match the Licensee of the Brewer and Baker, Alan Condon took on Antelope’s John McCaffrey. John won the contest 2-0. The game raised £20 which will be donated to Sickle Sell.

The Gate Inn hold on to their three points lead at the top of the Longwood league following a 6-2 win against Queens ‘B’. Three teams, Dolphin, Red Lion ’A’ and White Lion are all on nine points with Dolphin, who are second on average beat White Lion 6-2, Red Lion ’A’ won 5-3 at the Queens ’A’.
In the second division two teams, Plough and Harrow and Two Gates Club are level on 12 points. Plough and Harrow won 7-1 at Cue Sports Club, while Two Gates Club had a 5-3 success at the Royal Oak. Third placed Three Horse Shoes handed out an 8-0 whitewash to bottom of the table Jolly Sailor.

Fox Tavern ‘B’ are the division one champions in the Oldbury Sunday Morning league, winning the title by just one point over runners up Bell ‘A’. Ivy Bush won the second division with George GL taking the third.
The secretary’s trophy was won by the Red Fort.

The first round of the Divisional Cup was on the agenda for the South West Birmingham Clubs Summer League. Winning through in division one was Tascos ‘B’ with a close 4-3 verdict over Northfield Wanderers. In division two the winners were Selly Oak Flights, Bournbrook Arrows and Bartley Green F.C. Going through to round two in the third division were Bournbrook Flights and Caledonian Corks.
