The Sheldon and District Winter League are up to week eleven of their season and top of the premier league is Highwood, who after their 9-0 win at home over Smithswood Social Club, and the fact that former leaders Sheldon Marlborough Arrows didn’t play, have moved up one place to top the table with sixteen points from nine games. Langley Arrows are second, their similar 9-0 win at Mackadown Sports and Social Club taking their points tally to fourteen from eight games, the same number of points as Sheldon Marlborough Arrows, who have slipped to third place but have two games in hand on Highwood and one in hand on Langley Arrows.

Banbury Club continue to lead the division one table despite having their home fixture with Sheldon Marlborough Ridge postponed, they are on sixteen points from ten games as are second placed Trident Spears whose latest 5-4 home win over Station Inn leaves them eleven legs of average short of the leaders. RAFA Arrows are placed third, they too have sixteen points and have played ten games but are seventeen legs of average behind Banbury after they won 5-4 at home against Yardley Ex Colts. Fourth and fifth placed Sheldon Marlborough Ridge and Raven are both on twelve points, four off the top, however they have both only played nine games and have one in hand on the top three teams. Langley Flights had a 6-3 home win over Moseley Rugby Club with their Lee Harris notching a maximum.

Langley Pints made it eight wins from nine games in division two, beating their visitors Hollywood Social Club 6-3 to keep them top of the table with sixteen points as have second placed CBMC-A who went one better with a 7-2 win at Castle Bromwich Spitfires in what was their tenth fixture. Ryan Jackson hit a maximum for the home team. Third, fourth and fifth placed Shirley Misfits, Maggies and Hollywood Social Club are all on twelve points, Misfits having played nine games, Maggies eight and Hollywood ten.

Copper Fox ‘R’ had a vital win in the Harborne and District League when they won their home game against third in the league Smethwick Cricket Club 7-2. The win takes the leaders unbeaten run in the league to ten games, they are the only unbeaten team in the league. With a total of twenty points, Copper Fox ‘R’ have a two points lead on Northfield Conservative Club and Smethwick Cricket Club, the Conservative Club winning their home tie with Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club 8-1 to keep them just five legs of average to the good on third placed Smethwick Cricket Club. Fourth in the league Northfield Darts Club won 7-2 at Bourneville to leave them on sixteen points, two more than fifth and sixth placed Copper Fox ‘M’ and Thimble Mill who in turn won 6-3 at Weoley Castle and 5-4 at home against Crown. There were first wins of the season for the league’s two bottom placed teams this week, Lion Bar moving off the foot of the table with a 6-3 home win over Cock Inn and Windsor Complex, despite winning their home game with Stag and Three Horseshoes 5-4, dropping into the bottom spot.

There were maximums this week for G.Bolton (Stag and Three Horseshoes), E.Simpson (Copper Fox ‘R’) and P.Hughes (Lion Bar).

As a result of not playing this week in the Heartlands Sugardarts M&E Co Double Top League, former leader Steve Cain has dropped down to nineteenth place and replacing him at the top of the table is Clive Austin who added to his previous win a 3-0 success over Matthew Hoare followed by a 2-1 win over Hayden Valovec to give him a total of eight points. Second placed Ryan Cain is on the same eigt points and level on average after he had 3-0 wins over both Matt Richmond and Adam Rogers. Ramone Stevens, John Burdett and Sophie Cain are all on seven points, Stevens losing his opening game against Dylan Bloomer 2-1 and then winning 3-0 against Roxy Bennett. Burdett had a 2-1 success in his first game against Emma Cain and then beat Matt Ryan 3-0 while thiteen year old Sophie Cain continued her fine start to the season with a 3-0 win over Logan Yates and then a 2-1 win over against Emma Cain. After the top five there are four players all on six points George Drennan, John Frost, Matt Richmond and Charlie Rogers, all of the top nine players have played three games.

The Sutton and District League have had the quarter-finals  of their Coronation Shield and Norman Day Cup on their fixture card. In the Coronation Shield, three teams recorded 11-4 win and they were Bishop Vesey, Old Horns Lions and Pint Pot Flights, at the expense in turn of, Oscott Social Club, Deer’s Leap and Walmley CSC Flights. The game between Erdington Arrows and Heartlands was a much closer affair with Erdington Arrows just getting the 8-7 result.

In the Norman Day Cup, Highcroft Hotdogs stormed to a 13-2 win over Sutton Sharks, while Plough and Arrows had a 10-5 win over Minworth Bulls. There was a 9-6 victory for Old Oscott Arrows against Sutton Sports and making up the last four will be Charley’s Flights who took out Great Barr Social with a narrow 8-7.

It was also cup quarter-finals week in the South West Birmingham Clubs League, the last four games of the Percy Hinton Cup finishing with close 5-4 results and going in favour of Northfield Darts Club, Bournbrook and E57 who in turn accounted for Quarry Lane Club, Stirchley United and Perfection. With a 160 break from J.Garghan, Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club handed out a 9-0 whitewash to their opponents Kings Norton Arrows.

Quarry Bank Liberal Club held on to their four points lead at the top of the Sedgley and Gornal Tuesday Night League table when they handed their visitors Red Lion, a 9-0 whitewash. Second placed Red Cow ‘1’ were not far behind with their 8-1 success at Cabin ‘2’ and at the same time increasing their average lead to fourteen legs on third in the league Netherton Sports and Social Club who were held to a close 5-4 win at home over Royal. A further two points adrift with thirty-two points are fourth placed Gornal British Legion who won 8-1 at Baggeridge Social. Making up the top five in the league are Bulls Head whose 5-4 win away to bottom of the table Meadow Lark leaves them eight points off the top of the table.

With games now fast running out in the Silver End Sunday Morning League, leaders Old Star were held to a 4-4 draw playing away against third in the table High Acres ‘A’, nevertheless with eighty-seven points they still have a four points lead on their nearest rivals Dudley Sports ‘A’ who also finished level at 4-4 at home against Woodman who are thirteen places below them in the league table and have a huge forty-six points fewer than Dudley Sports ‘A’. Fourth in the league Old Liberal Club have a game in hand on the three teams above them, however after their 7-2 home win over Portway, they are still twenty-four points behind Old Star.

The quarter-finals of the League Cup were the order of the day for the Brierley Hill Monday Night League. Three of the four games went in favour of league form with Bridge and Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ in turn  beating Dudley Sports ‘B’ and Little Barrel 8-1 and Roebuck ‘A’ winning 5-4 against Wombourne Club. The one outstanding result was the 5-4 win for Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘B’, who beat third in the league Lamp Tavern 5-4, the winners some twelve places below their opponents in the league

There were two rearranged league fixtures played in which Mount Pleasant won 6-3 against Railway and Starving Rascal won 8-1 against Rose and Crown ‘A’.

Not much change at the top of the Stourbridge and District Wednesday Night League with all of the top four teams winning, leaders Chop House won 6-1 at Stourbridge FC ‘B’, while second placed Hollybush kept within six points of the leaders with a 5-2 home win over Netherton Conservative Club. On the same thirty-six points as Holybush are New Inns whose 5-2 win at Beech Tree Miners leaves them just two legs of average behind Hollybush. After the top three come three teams, Bird in Hand ‘E’, Swan and Stourbridge FC ‘A’ who are all on thirty-four points, eight behind Chop House.

The Rowley Monday Night League played off the foinals of their Adrian Arnold Blind Doubles and taking the honours with a final win over B.Gillies (Bell) and J.Tart (Tividale FC) were T.Brennan (Bell) and J.Lowe Tividale FC).

After completing week three in the Hilltop Friendly Tuesday Night League only two points separate the top eight treams, half of the league. Three Horseshoes top the table with six points, they have a single leg of average lead on both second and third placed Sow and Pigs and Waggon and Horses ‘B’ after the leaders won 5-2 at home against Vine ‘B’, Sow and Pigs beat their hosts Noahs Ark 4-3 and Waggon and Horses ‘B’ won 5-2 at Horseley Tavern ‘B’. After the top three there are five teams all on four points, Tipton Sports, Sandwell, Horseley Tavern ‘A’, Hot Shots and Albion.

Week four of the Netherton Thursday Night 501 League and almost half of the league are on nine points but with varying numbers of games played. Old Liberal Club are top of the table with a perfect three wins, the latest of which saw them win 7-2 at home against Hawthorns. Second and third placed Plough and Harrow and Bulls Head have both played four games, Plough and Arrow winning 6-3 at Hadden Cross while Bulls Head lost for the first time when tney went down 6-3 at British Oak. Fourth and fifth in the table Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club and British Oak have both won the three games they have played but sixth placed Gate Hangs Well have played five games and won three.

The Amblecote RBL Premier League have got their new season underway with a total of forty players and after week two reigning champion Jason Lowe is where he left off last season, top of the table. Lowe took his points tally to twenty-nine in week two with 6-1 win over Ian Townsend followed by a 7-0 success against Bayley Owen. League newcomer Spike Green is second with the same twenty-nine points as Lowe after he added a 6-2 win against Paul Wells and a 7-0 win over Jon Underhill. A former champion Nick Fullwell is third, with one point fewer than the two players above him. Fullwell’s latest fixtures saw him win 6-1 against both Joe Poole and Craig Slater. Making up the top four is Kian Rogers, his twenty-seven points two off the top.

With no result for Quarry Bank Liberal Club in the Black Country Men’s Super League, they have dropped to third place on eighty-two points, following this, and their 5-0 home win over Bostin Darts 180 Bar, Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club have returned to the number two position with eighty-five points, the Ex Serviceman’s and Quarry Bank Club have both played twenty-four games. West Midlands Ladies Super League leader Jacqueline Maiden added a further 3-0 win over Julie Emery to her account to give her a total of eighty-one points and a lead of seven over second placed Gemma Barret who has played one game more than Jacqueline after she won 3-0 against Sarah Barrett. Third placed Evonne Taylor didn’t play and has seventy-three points from twenty games while fifth placed Kat McLean is on sixty-one points and has only played sixteen games.

It’s week one in the West Midlands Men’s Super League and four teams share the top spot with five points, Kings Head, Carrington Club, Staffordshire Knot and Dog and Partridge who in turn won 5-0 against Junction ‘B’, Landywood, Gilbert’s Bar ‘B’ and Junction ‘A’.

The Gilbert’s Bar MondayNight Singles League is back underway once again boasting a starting line-up of forty-two players. Topping the division one table with tweny-six points is Simon Pritchard with second placed and reigning champion Scott Baker second on the same number of points.Third placed Michael Baker also has twenty-six points, however he has played five games compared to the two players above hime having played on three games.

Michele Pritchard is top of division two, her twenty-seven points one to the good on her nearest rival Charlie Baker with Kobi Holyhead third on twenty-three points.

No change in the top five places in the singles league of the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League, Junction ‘B’ holding on to pole position with a 7-0 home win over Golden Lion ‘A’. Second placed Dog and Partridge ‘B’ are four points short of the leaders after they won 6-1 at Wheatsheaf and third placed Gilbert’s Bar ‘B’ are a further two points adrift after they won their home game with Ashmore 5-2.

In the doubles league Golden Lion ‘A’ lead the field with thirty-six points, two more than second placed New Gate Inn. After the top two there are three teams all on thirty-two points, Junction ‘B’, Gilbert’s Bar ‘B’ and Gilbert’s Bar ‘A’.
