This coming weekend Warwickshire County Darts Organisation will play their final game of the season in the Elite Premier Division of the UKDA National League, a rearranged fixture away to Glamorgan which was originally scheduled for the 8th and 9th January but had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
With all of the other premier division teams having completed their programme the current situation is that Warwickshire are placed third in the table on 230 points, some 22 short of second placed Yorkshire while Glamorgan are seventh with 204 points. A big win for Warwickshire could see them finish the season as runners-up which would be the end to a fabulous first season of the UKDA League, but should they end in third place that is still no mean performance in such a strong division.
The fixture will be played on Glamorgan’s home board at the Penydarren Social Club, Alexandra Road, Merthyr, CF47 9AF and lining up for Warwickshire will be Men’s ‘A’:- Jamie Atkins, Gareth Braham, Kevin Dowling, Steve Giddings, Noel Grant, Jamie Hughes, Prakash Jiwa, Tom Martin, Wayne Mynard, Ian Shaw, Jack Wareing, Matty Washbrooke, Men’s ‘B’:- Adam Hancock, Nigel Heydon, Dave Hill, Dave Honey, Scott Hope, Mark Carter, Lee Miller, Karl Reynolds, Darren Swords, Carl Green, Martin Tonks, Jenson Walker, Reserves:- Steve Hine, Mark Martin, Will Naylor, Noah Rose, Mark Strong, Mark Tomlinson snr, Carl Winters, Women’s ‘A’:- Natalie Gilbert, Sue Gulliver, Lucy Keyte, Tammy Montgomery, Caroline Pike, Donna Pinch, Women’s ‘B’:- Wendy Adams, Nina Bolt, Marian Conway, Angela Jones, Melanie Jones, Chloe McKivett, Reserves:- Denise Keyte, Sue Maclennan.
